[It's been two weeks since Riki was de-NPC'd, but the whole ordeal had him more or less keeping to himself afterward for a while. Not to mention, his best friend's birthday was only days ago, so he had been thinking a lot about his time alive, his home world, the Little Busters, etc. Feeling significantly better today though, he decides to go ahead and check up on everyone and whatnot after classes.]

It looks like bringing up memories really does work, because here I am, ahah... I'm sorry to those I was inconveniencing as an NPC, but I'm back now. I was a little afraid of going back to attending classes with all of the shadows around, but it looks like they don't really bother us much if we're doing that. ...Actually, it seems like there are a lot less shadows lately in general. I wonder why that is...?

I also saw that the Student Council elections are going on again, so good luck to everyone running! Though on that note, has anyone seen Kashiwazaki-san around?

[He figures she might have passed on, but... part of him kind of hopes not, as selfish as it may be.]

[Sayaka's been on the move constantly. Even after meeting up with Mami and Kyouko both, she didn't stay long in their company. Heroes had to protect everyone. In lulls she checked her phone. Nothing for a while. After seeing how full the gym is, Sayaka's headed off in a direction she thinks is less populated. She hasn't seen any elementary kids in this place so she assumes that area is safe enough--why would the shadows hang out in an area where there's nothing to find?

So, she finds a quiet area near there and makes a call.]

This is Miki. Where's everyone? [She means, 'where's Madoka', mostly but she hasn't seen a lot of people after meeting up with Mami and leaving her behind. She sounds tired--being on the move hasn't let her sleep much. She's also kind of hungry.] It's been kind of quiet. You better not all have been gotten by those things!

[A pause.] The gym's filled with shadows, avoid it if you can. I'm near the elementary school... if you need help, send me a text.

[After about twenty minutes of talking on the phone, Sayaka's going to start moving closer to the elementary school. Due to being at her wits end and not being in top condition, she's easily overcome by the shadows alone.

Oops.]

H-hey everyone... I know most of you are probably on your breaks or eating lunch right now, but I really wanted to show everyone this. Look at this cat! It has just been following me around all day... Even inside of the building, and it just won't go away. Isn't that weird? It has a little collar with a bell on it [he points at it], so that means it belongs to someone, right? Is this anyone's cat?

[Because it sure ain't his -- or so he thinks.]

I know everyone's caught up in this whole NPC thing, but... E-er... Actually, this might help, but I was mostly kind of curious.

I saw someone mentioning the fact that Shinji Ikari came back here despite disappearing a while ago... This isn't the first time something like that has happened though. The same thing happened with Fujisaki-san -- Chihiro Fujisaki. So... I guess what I'm getting at is: What do you guys think this means? For someone to just... come back to the afterlife a while after leaving it. I know this could also have relevance to the NPC we're looking for if it has changed appearances or anything, but still. I wanted to know what you all thought.

...A-and, um... I know we've never talked before, but if it's all right, I'd like to talk to Ikari-san about this too! I'm just curious, is all.

[He's about to turn the recording off before quickly adding:]

--Also, uh... Has anyone seen Obama? I think he escaped from my room and I can't find him now.

It seems that a growing threat has presented itself here. The programmer wrote the code of an NPC in order to override particular aspects of the Angel Player program. However, the NPC's capabilities go beyond what he had planned. It has a high learning curve and special abilities that could allow it to rewrite bugs or any other programming. This poses a potential problem that I need your assistance with. I need your help to find this self-learning program NPC. Simply locate and detain it, then let me know so we can retrieve it. It should not be too difficult, I believe. It may be helpful to know that the NPC would likely be pretending to be human as well. Of course, such a task would not go without its rewards. Whoever can find this NPC will be given the opportunity to request something. I will code whatever that person would like to be programmed into this world. This is a grand reward, so I am sure you realize just how important this task is. Thank you, and good luck.

Okay, where is it?! [Sayaka's voice is harsh when she starts out.] There's no way this could be the after life. No way. If it was, then I'd see--[She cuts herself off.]--see someone I know here and I haven't seen them yet.

[Of course she knows a way she could have died but--that couldn't be right. She couldn't have left the city, left her family, left Madoka, left Kyousuke behind like that. She couldn't. There's no way she could have been that much of a failure.

One of you has to be playing a prank on me. Haha, real funny. Give it back, already! I've got things to do and I can't just go to a school in some strange place.

[What 'it' is, she doesn't say. She figures the culprit would know what she's talking about.]

[Sayaka's calmed down slightly as she wanders through the halls. She's still looking for whatever it was she lost but at least she's not yelling anymore. She doesn't look happy but there's a bit of a slump to her shoulders now as if she's almost accepted it. Almost. She'll straighten up if she catches anyone's eye. Even so, there's a certain lack of fire that might be expected of someone who just was protesting so loudly.

Maybe someone should show her to her classes or at least try to explain that maybe she shouldn't just yell at everyone. After all, she doesn't seem as confrontational as before.]

Not because of the setting, after all he was well familiar with high school, nor accepting the fact he was dead, he had a pretty good idea of why and how it had happened after all. Accepting what had happened, where he was.. the details were a little fuzzy.. he didn't quite remember what had lead up to it, but flashes of being inside of something's mouth were all he really had so he remembered that much at least...

He was worried, about a lot of things. Nyanko-sensei had the Book of Friends now, or he should have, but his friends and his family-- the Fujiwaras...

He knew what losing people you care about does to you. He never wanted to put them through that.

Still, he should at least see who else was here. Even in this strange place, where there weren't spirits floating around where no one else could see them, there were other human beings. It'd be rude not to at least say hello after a little while. ]

[ Of course.. even if he'd gotten better at speaking in regular circumstances, what did you say in a situation like this? ]

Is it common not to remember some of the things leading up to this place?

[ Later, Natsume can be found wandering around the edge of the forest, going through some of the lower brush. He thought he saw something, but given how there weren't any other youkai around here, there was no way..

Either way, it was small so he was just looking mighty suspicious looking through the foliage without a reason. ]

Does anyone know where a large-sized pet may be kept? I have recently come into possession of an adorable creature, but it is growing rather rapidly and I do not believe that my roommate would appreciate an even larger animal in our living space.

I have no desire to give the animal up, but I believe that a safe storage place may be the best option.

[Fairly early in the day Riki throws up a video announcement after contemplating an idea he had in his head for a while. It's December, and he's feeling festive, so...!]

Hi everyone! It's December now, and I'd ask to make sure that everyone is staying warm, but with this weird weather I guess that really isn't much of an issue, ahah... [Seriously. He doesn't get it. Palm trees? Really? What even.] Anyway, since the holidays are coming up, I thought we could all maybe do a Secret Santa thing...? It's basically where everyone signs up and gets assigned a random person to give a gift to, but the receiver has no idea who's doing that for them. It's a lot of fun, and I thought it would be a nice way to celebrate. We could exchange all the gifts on Christmas Eve and spend time with one another. Maybe make hot chocolate...? I don't know. But it seemed like fun. We could decorate a tree and stuff too...

Would anyone be interested in this? Or does anyone have any suggestions? I'll be sitting in front of the dorms later on with a sheet for everyone to sign up with, so come over there if you want to join in! Or say hi, ahah... I wouldn't mind that either. When I'm done today, I'll leave the sign-up sheet hung up in front of the dorms for anyone who decides to get in on it later on...

But yeah, um... That's it, I guess.

[Sena's been thinking a lot lately. With school and everything else she's been doing, it's been easy to keep her mind off things but it's been a little slower for her lately and the thoughts began to creep in.

And so, she's begun to think about the one thing she doesn't have here: her family. So, she opens her computer and decides to ask a few questions.

It starts with her sitting there, hand making idle circles on the desk, her eyes seeming to find the pattern fascinating.]

If we're all dead, I wonder if we can turn into ghosts. [It's a weird thought and she doesn't think so but she wants this bad enough to ask.] Ghost can go back and see people, right? It's not like they have to be the creepy ghosts from stories or anything.

She tilts her head, wondering what's taking so long. Dare you ask what she's waiting on?]

[Sonia's mastered the phone at that age anyway, so she calmly states the following message.]

Is this the police? I would like to report my own kidnapping. I cannot name the assistants or give you a proper description , but it is of utmost importance that I be returned to my father and mother immediately. I await your correspondence.

[ You might have felt a pair of eyes watching you in the public areas today, the slightest glimpse of a girl, pale and willowy, wandering in the shadows, or in some corner just within earshot. She observes but never approaches, maintaining a neutral expression regardless of what's going on around her and walking away as soon as anyone makes a step in her general direction.

Maybe she wasn't watching you after all. Maybe she's a ghost. Can something more ghostly exist in a town of dead souls? It is a mystery.

After a few hours of reconnaissance/creeping, she's slipped into the library to peruse the science stacks. With a wall at one end, there's only one way in and out. She's mindful of that opening, keeping an eye on it, just in case someone feels inclined to corner her and confront her. ]

So! First off, the baseball game was a while ago, and I wanted to know if those who participated or watched had a good time. I definitely did, but I just wanted to get feedback from the rest of you. I figured maybe we could do it again sometime? I'm not sure when, but we could figure something out...

...But also on that, note, uh... [...He looks a little sheepish here. He kinda got dragged into promising Haruhi something without consulting with the others first, so here he goes...] To those who were on my team... Kashiwazaki-san, Levi-san, Kohaku-san, and Mana-san. Since we ended up losing the game, uh...

...Well, basically, I promised Suzumiya-san that we would do something for her team. So I wanted to know if all of you would be up to making pizza together? Or something like that... We could make some for ourselves, but for Suzumiya-san's team as well. It's not mandatory or anything, since I did kind of promise it to her already without asking you guys first, so if you don't want to do it, that's fine. But I figured it may be fun for all of us to meet up and do something again together, anyway. So would any of you be okay with that?

[He pauses there, trying to think if there was anything else he wanted to mention and... oh, right--]

Also, this goes out to everyone! Or well, mostly the guys, I guess... But Nakamura-san brought up a girls' sleepover the other day. Since most of the girls would be occupied with that, do any of you want to hang out that night? I guess we could have our own sleepover, basically. I'm not really sure what we could do, but I'm sure we'll figure something out. It'd be fun, anyway. So is anyone interested in that too?

[He then leaves the message at that. It's evident, especially by the end of his recording, that he's pretty excited -- not only for all these events, but also just... because of some nostalgia. Being the one to propose these kinds of things is awfully Kyousuke-like. He's a little proud of himself, to be honest. And also a little upset since Kyousuke isn't here anymore to see it, but alas...

After a moment, he finally ends his message.

[ On arriving, Marco did the sensible thing. He... tried really hard not panic, he was dead after all, he knew that much. So he asked around and was kindly instructed on how to use of the nice computers in the library. The whole thing would have played out adorably, with Marco apologizing for not understanding things like using the mouse, or opening programs. For now, at least he's got this much. Good thing they had at least typewriters back home. ]

… They have such extensive books about serial killers! I haven’t found any about Genocider Syo or Kira Kira-chan, but the volumes on other heroes of justice is absolutely hella cool! So I have plenty of time to kill with them!

[No one could've died, could they? Especially not here, anyway. But Kotarou couldn't help but notice the abundance of absences here in the so called "Afterlife." Everyone who was talkative and kept the crowd a crowd wasn't nearly as active as he'd seen before.

It was like a ghost town. He wanted to tell that joke to someone, badly.

So to remedy that and to cure his own curiosity (he hated sitting here doing nothing; he felt he had to do something--anyone couldn't just sit here after dying could they?), he speaks up to one of the NPCs. To his own avail though, it didn't give him the reaction he wanted.

Or really, any kind of reaction.

In a sense, the male NPC ignored him, asking him tons of questions that had nothing to do with Kotarou's humor or question. We're going to be late for class? I showered just this morning! What do you mean you wanna borrow lunch money, isn't it free!?

Kotarou, from the look of things, will always be confused about this place. Nothing makes sense here. Let's not forget that his powers are seemingly gone. ...He'll never know what to feel about this either.

In any case though, after that Kotarou will walk up to you, and try to the best of his abilities, act like everyone else.]

Hey, you're gonna be late for class-class-class. Don't forget your workhome.

[Kotarou was at the library, on one of the various computers offered to the dead. He doubts he could connect to the Internet here--that'd be creepy. But a neat feature to add to the Occult Club. It appeared to be connected to the Intranet however, and available to everyone here. With that in mind, Kotarou types up a post.]

...That aside. Did everyone go on some kind of field trip? It's like a ghost town or something here.
