He was worried, about a lot of things. Nyanko-sensei had the Book of Friends now, or he should have, but his friends and his family-- the Fujiwaras...

He knew what losing people you care about does to you. He never wanted to put them through that.

Still, he should at least see who else was here. Even in this strange place, where there weren't spirits floating around where no one else could see them, there were other human beings. It'd be rude not to at least say hello after a little while. ]

[ Later, Natsume can be found wandering around the edge of the forest, going through some of the lower brush. He thought he saw something, but given how there weren't any other youkai around here, there was no way..

Either way, it was small so he was just looking mighty suspicious looking through the foliage without a reason. ]
