[It's been a day since everyone has (hopefully) arrived in the Guild. After discussing it with Yuri, Hinata, and Naoi, Otonashi decides it's probably a good idea to give everyone a basic lowdown on what's going on, and what they can do in the mean time. As such, he gets on one of the old computers to send out a message.]
Hey everyone. It's Otonashi. As I'm sure you have all noticed by now, shadows have overrun the entirety of the surface, forcing us to come down here to the Guild. I hope you've all made it safely down here. If not, let me know and we can find a way to send someone up to get you.
Anyway, basically, Guild is a big industrial place. It was used as a headquarters for the SSS to make weapons. It's all the way down here to keep out intruders (I'm sure you're all familiar with those booby traps now), which obviously turned out to be helpful in this situation... I figured it'd be a good idea to let you all know what's down here, considering how we don't know how long we'll be forced to stay. There are close-quarters apartments you can all stay in. If you haven't noticed already, the river runs through here, so water isn't a problem. We have rods around so you can fish if you need food. Hinata also brought down non-perishables from the cafeteria and convenience store on the surface, so we have those too. We don't have unlimited resources though, so please don't unnecessarily binge on food. We need to make due with what we have. If it's absolutely necessary someone could go up and get more, but... as you've seen, it's really dangerous.
There are also computers floating around, but they're extremely slow and I'm pretty sure dinosaurs used them. This thing took me a while to boot just so I could type up this message. But it's something at least.
Lastly, needless to say, we need to figure out a way to get out. So if anyone has any ideas for plans to get out, speak up. Even if it's not a perfectly formed plan, it's fine. Every bit helps. Feel free to answer other people's messages too to add on to what they have to say or whatever. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
I think that just about covers it, so... Stay safe, everyone. We'll get out of here soon. I promise.
[He hopes.]
