It seems that a growing threat has presented itself here. The programmer wrote the code of an NPC in order to override particular aspects of the Angel Player program. However, the NPC's capabilities go beyond what he had planned. It has a high learning curve and special abilities that could allow it to rewrite bugs or any other programming.

This poses a potential problem that I need your assistance with.

I need your help to find this self-learning program NPC. Simply locate and detain it, then let me know so we can retrieve it. It should not be too difficult, I believe. It may be helpful to know that the NPC would likely be pretending to be human as well.

Of course, such a task would not go without its rewards. Whoever can find this NPC will be given the opportunity to request something. I will code whatever that person would like to be programmed into this world. This is a grand reward, so I am sure you realize just how important this task is.

Thank you, and good luck.

[OOC: This is a world-building opportunity! Characters could request to program virtually anything (pun absolutely intended) from a roller coaster to even a petting zoo. Whatever floats their boat. Also, while there will be responses from the Mysterious Boy, feel free to have characters discuss amongst themselves.]

[...he can't lie and say that that reward doesn't look good. Too good, actually.]

my, my, that's quite the generous offer.

you must really want this problem solved quickly.

with a reward like that up for grabs? i'm sure you won't be waiting for long. it's very tempting, after all.

is this npc really so troublesome that this is necessary?

'might'.

meaning you don't actually know what its plans are, yes?
avartwice: (do tell)

oh, is that so? well, i guess that makes sense!

it's certainly very credible coming from someone who couldn't actually keep the npc in check. what are the odds that it will surprise you again, right?
avartwice: (look at all the fucks i give)

perhaps.

or perhaps you're lying about that.

i'm not saying that you are, of course. but it is a possibility, right?
avartwice: (what even...)

so you're not lying. which we're supposed to believe, because it's impossible for you to lie. according to your word.

does that about sum it up?
avartwice: (you don't say)

people don't usually claim that it's literally impossible for them to lie.

[Ling, remember who you share a body with...]

...most people, anyway.

technically, neither am i. but i get the point.

still, that makes it a little hard to trust you, as i'm sure you understand.
avartwice: (ready to go)

so if i do decide against trusting you, i'm sure you won't take it personally.

good to know! then i won't feel bad about it.

[Ling, when have you ever felt bad about distrusting someone, ever?]
