[Action]
[It was over.]
[After so many years of fighting, it was finally over. He'd said his painful goodbyes, managed not to cry, closed his eyes and...]
[...woke up on the sidewalk.]
[The campus was buzzing with activity, the students recently liberated from classes for lunch. The NPCs carefully walked around him as he lay on the ground, staring vacantly at the sky as he came to his senses. The fog over his mind cleared gradually, becoming aware of an unshakable sense of déjà vu descending upon him. The dark color of his jacket caught his peripheral vision, slowly sitting up in order to look down at himself. This uniform... he wasn't wearing this one a moment ago. In fact, he hadn't worn this particular uniform since...]
[Is this..?]
[He sat up sharply, as if jolted out of a deep sleep, scrutinizing the details of the uniform jacket he wore. It was the same one. There was no question.]
[...No way. That means..!?]
THE GAME RESETS!?
[His theatrical screaming could likely be heard from a great many places across the campus, drawing as much attention to himself as could be expected.]

[Wait. Again?]
Yu-Yurippe... [He stared at her, looking as if something incredibly stupid was clouding his judgement. He'd feel like a moron later, but for now, he was convinced that his reset-theory was correct. So how come she wasn't playing the part!? He didn't get it.] ...Have we already met?
no subject
Still, on a completely irrational level, she really wanted to smack him upside the head. ]
Of course we have. How much do you remember, anyway?
[ If he was screaming about resets it was probably all of them, but it didn't hurt to check. ]
no subject
[That's just it. He saw her disappear. He made sure that she went before him. How could she be here unless they were trapped? It made him uneasy.]
no subject
Even though she was okay with a lot of things now, there were still times when she cut herself off a little bit. After all, Hinata was the one person who promised not to leave her alone yet somehow it'd been a year since she saw him and even thought he wasn't going to come back. Her tone shifted, a bit cooler now. ]
That makes a few of us. Otonashi and Naoi are here too. Kanade's the only one left out of those who graduated with us who hasn't shown up yet.
no subject
Is the battlefront really just the four of us now..? [Oh, if he only knew...]
no subject
[ That last question makes Yuri smile a little bit though. ] No, I recruited new members.
no subject
[At least when they'd all arrived the first time, it had been because they had something in common. Everyone had an unfair life. But... what about now? What was the factor pushing and pulling people into and out of this world..?]
Yurippe, when TK and Yui left... what caused it? [She'd probably already puzzled all this out, but he couldn't help but try.]
[And she'd been recruiting people, too? That Yurippe... always busy! He assumed she'd only grabbed one or two new members, so he offered a supportive smile.] Great! How many members do we have now?
no subject
[ She hated to say it. Back then, she didn't have as many memories and it was pretty difficult, but they'd followed her while they were here and it was something of a comfort (if not slightly discomforting in the same right that she couldn't remember everything). It was the not knowing that was really messing with her. ]
Chances are it has something to do with how this place works and what's wrong with it, though.
[ Well, he didn't know what was wrong, but whatever, he could ask if he wanted to question that. ]
12 right now, including us, with a few people on the border of agreeing to join.
no subject
[Twelve members? More than he'd thought, but still considerably less than they'd had in their prime. Still, it was nice to know that he'd be able to mentor new recruits again.] Great! How can I help? [Clearly, if there are people on the cusp on joining, they need an idiot with blue hair to help them make a final decision.]
no subject
[ She's sure they found her at least. After all, how else would she have ended up in the infirmary when she woke up. ]
How do you feel about attending the boys' sleepover on Saturday and making sure they don't do anything that's going to get them buried alive if they come near the SSS HQ~?
no subject
[Everything seems so serious, but then-] A sleepover? [He couldn't say he was expecting that.] I could... do that if you needed me to. What's going on at HQ?
no subject
[ She's not giving exact details but.. it's pretty obvious. ] There are some new places here, but there are a lot of strange things that have been happening. The shadows appeared again for a while even without the uh.. same stimuli that made them start up before once, but there have been other things like the NPCs acting outside of their usual programming, memories getting shown like movies, all sorts of stuff. I made a big post about it online-- we have an internet blog thing going on now, too. It's got all the information in detail.
[ That's fine for now right? Right. ]
The girls are having a sleepover and I'm finding it way too suspicious that the boys suddenly planned one on the same night right after that.
no subject
[He can piece together small things based on what information he did have, however. Angel Player was what Kanade had been using to alter herself, if there was a server center with several computers, then maybe it could alter more than just Kanade. He also knew that the shadows had indeed stopped once the computers were destroyed, so they must have had something to do with Angel Player, too. If Yuri's information was correct, and the programmer of Angel Player had been an NPC...]
S...o the programmer is making everything go haywire? [That was the best he could come up with, given what he knew. Shockingly, he wasn't that far off. Rather than continue to harass her, he nodded at the mention of a blog, he could go to the computer room later on and figure out what she meant.]
[That out of the way, her talk of the sleepover was so... casual. A sharp contrast to talking about the shadows and the computer room.]
Ah... So you want me to go make sure nothing happens at the sleepover, right?
no subject
[ There's a soft smile on her lips. Warm, but a little sad. She didn't understand why she was still here, especially when she knew they'd been waiting for her to move on. ]
But I destroyed the place after talking to this AI NPC. That stuff's not really important right now. You just got back, if I flood you with information it's all going to go straight out the other ear!
[ Basically, she was still annoyed enough with Hinata to not want to talk about how the whole system freaked out because she loves you butts. :T It's one thing to tell a bunch of people who don't know as much, but someone like Hinata.. well, the sleepover's much easier to talk about. ]
You got it.

[He rolled his shoulders, stretching them out, lying on the ground had made his back stiff... He reached up above his head, stretching his arms up to the sky before lowering them to link his fingers behind his head. Standing here, looking over the edge of the roof... it was nostalgic.] ...Hey, Yurippe?
no subject
[ She glances over at him. Even if he looks like he's starting to get more relaxed, she's still pretty on edge right now. ] What?
no subject
[Standing her with her, making plans, even if they were kind of ridiculous... He'd already told himself he wouldn't get to have this again, but here they were. He lowered his arms, reaching out to place a hand on top of her head, rubbing it affectionately.] ...I'm glad I get to fight with you again, Yurippe.
no subject
[ Her face flushes a little bit at the gesture and Yuri reaches up to swat his hand away, immediately getting a pissy look on her face and reaching up to smack him on the forehead. ]
We're still on the roof you know, I can't be held responsible if you take an interest in skydiving!
no subject
[Unfortunately for him, he feels the need to continue talking. A grievous error indeed.]
I missed you too, Yurippe~ [From his perspective, he'd only been away from her for a couple minutes, but any loyal dog would get antsy when his alpha isn't around. One could only imagine how he'd feel when he realized he'd been away for a year.]
[Not giving her much of a window to reprimand him, he links his fingers back behind his head.] Well-! I'm going to go back to my dorm and change, it's too nostalgic wearing this uniform... When should I come for the meeting?
no subject
Your room probably isn't even the same one, check your key. I'll get you a new uniform since all of your things are probably gone unless you left something in the SSS room. I put anything that was left in the closet, so go grab what you want from there. There's no meeting tonight. I'll let you know when there is one.
no subject
Ah... Thanks, Yurippe. [He definitely wanted a new SSS jacket, then. Wearing this uniform was nostalgic, but after what happened to Takamatsu... He couldn't help but want to distinguish himself from the NPCs.]
Then I'll go find which dorm is mine..! I left my gun in HQ, so I can go get that myself... [He walked up behind her, sticking close.] You'll be at dinner, right?
no subject
Maybe she'd just avoid answering that for now. ]
When you go to get your gun, there's a list of the current SSS members. Go introduce yourselves to all of them.
no subject
[But, there was nothing he could do about it right now. She was here and that was what mattered. He gave her shoulder a reassuring pat, moving past her toward the door to the roof, pulling it open.]
Sure, sure... I'll do that. [He turned from the door, giving her a two-finger salute and an obnoxious wink.] See you later, Yurippe~!
[And assuming she didn't stop him, he'd take off down the stairs. Time to meet his new roommate!]
no subject
Bye!
[ Time to go busy herself with something. Maybe she'd make some extra ammo today. After all, it wasn't like they had Guild backing them anymore. It'd distract her from the fact that she was pretty sure the second she couldn't see Hinata anymore he'd be gone again. ]
