[ For the past few days, since she'd awoken in this strange new place, Peko had taken it upon herself to investigate her new surroundings. It was prudent to gather as much information as possible, especially in the case that things went as badly here as they did back on the island. Granted, she probably looked a little ridiculous to anyone who happened upon her in her attempts to investigate every corner of the place, but it could not be helped. 

Once she felt confident in her acquisition of the lay of the land, Peko made her way to the library. She had found the computer network on a prior expedition, but hadn't felt the need to announce her presence at the time.

When the voice recording starts up, the sound is of a calm, sharp woman's voice. ]

Hello. I am called Pekoyama Peko, and I believe that I am considered to be "new here". 

I have had the basics of this place explained to me, although I will admit to a few questions....such as why the afterlife occurs in a high school of all places. However, I imagine the answer to that question is not widely known. 

[ A pause. ]

More importantly, I seek a weapon. I have heard of the dangers of the shadows, and I would also like to keep my swordsmanship skills from becoming rusty from disuse.

[ Plus, she feels a sense of discomfort, being disarmed at the moment - even if there are no clear and present threats, she was unused to not having any sort of weaponry on her person. ]

Any assistance that can be offered in procuring a sword would be much appreciated.

It simply does not make sense for this to be a heaven. Perhaps a hell instead, or a purgatory of some sort.

Tch, no way! [ He can't accept that idea. Sure, if he'd think a little bit longer about what happened he might feel the guilt, but he just.. refuses. He doesn't even want to start to pick at those emotions, it's much easier to just continue saying what he's always done - it wasn't fully his fault either way no matter how you look. ] I didn't do jack shit to end up hell, so there's no way this place can be hell at all..!

Then a purgatory, where both those who deserve salvation and those doomed to damnation may gather.

[ Not that she ever....really believed in this kind of thing before, but seeing as how the afterlife clearly does exist, it's not that far a stretch... ]

[ Calmed down just as easily as he got worked up out of nowhere, apparently.. ]

What kinda shit did you do though to think you'd go to hell? [ He needs to make sure he's not talking to some psycho. ]

...It is a long story. [ ... ] The short of it is that I killed someone.

[ Ah. Yes. A really normal short story.. not that Leon can judge much since, well, he has done the same thing, but even so he thinks of the deed pretty differently.. ]

There is no point in panicking over it now...there is nothing I can do to change the past, and I was executed for my crime.

I am not proud of it. However, I also do not plan on avoiding responsibility for my actions by denying it.

Although the word "executed" gives him shivers again. It reminds him too much of what happened back home, really. Although with just how many people involved with Monobear he's met, he can't help but wonder if she just isn't yet another one of them.. ]

Before you ask, I was in a situation like that too. You must've been on the island with that overlord of darkess weirdo and Sonia-chan, right?

It'd be pretty lame if I got out of there only to die of something else. [ The only worse possibility than his current situation, really.. ] So.. yeah, of course I got killed too because of that retarded bear! I bet he's not gonna leave anyone alive!

I can't believe that. Surely some students must be allowed to escape with their lives, as every game must have victors.

If he truly wishes to cause despair, simply killing everyone is counter-productive. No, it would be more scarring to leave survivors, who must come to terms with their dead.

Like anyone actually cares the people are dead! They're the ones who keep sending people into their graves!

[ Of course he knows they were just trying to save their skin as much as he was trying to save his, but he still can't help but feel a little bitter since.. well, it's Leon. ]

I know that many of my fellow students took each death, whether murder or execution, quite badly.

[ After all, she can remember the aura of doom and gloom that had persisted after the first trial had finished. ]

We had different classmates, however, so perhaps it was not the same for you.

[ Granted, the fact that Celes was rubbing it in right before he died didn't help with that perception, so it's not like it's entirely Leon being biased.. just a huge part of it. ]

Although I guess the two from my class who're here aren't too bad.. Ishimaru's annoying as shit, but Fujisaki's cute and nice. [ Note: he has no idea Chihiro is a guy. N o i d e a. ]
