video; On Elections and Maids

[ Mami has taken the time to set up a video on the school library's computer, trying to make a good impression. So she's sitting in the chair with hair properly drill-like, and a smile on her face, her uniform perfectly pressed and clean. When she wants to, she really puts off an air of dignified grace, even if she's younger than many of the high schoolers here. ]

Hello everyone. If you don't know, my name is Mami Tomoe. I want to thank everyone who voted for me for the position of Secretary on the Student Council. I promise I will do my best to assist the president and vice-president in their goals for the student council. Of course, if anyone has something they'd like to bring up to the student council, please come talk to me at anytime.

With that out of the way, I wanted to gauge interest in something I've been thinking about..

[ Mami reaches off camera to find a piece of poster board and hold up to the camera against her stomach, with her large chest sort of hanging over the top..

On the poster Mami has written "School Cafe" in big blocky letters, with glitter everywhere. There are cut outs from magazines all neatly pasted on the off-white background, pictures of maid dresses, pots of tea, snacks, and a handsome boy dressed as a butler. It's girly and cute and still done with a sense of style to it, even if it looks a little haphazard. ]

My friend Yamashita-kun and I came up with the idea of starting a school cafe, as a club or group activity. Something to have a place for others to come and drink, eat, and socialize after school. We could use a little help getting started, but we'd also like to see what others thought of our idea. See? The waitresses and waiters could even dress as maids and.. [ Oops, her boobs are in the way, she has to pull the board out to show the butler a little better. ] ..and butlers. I think it could be fun.

I see... well, Yuri already asked me to help with some computer stuff though I'm not sure if I'll actually be able to now that I've had time to think about it.

Yuri-san did? Are you good with computers? You should speak to Inaba-san as well, she is trying to build a new computer herself to rewrite some programming.

I'm pretty decent at programming...

Oh, is she? I'll ask her then - I'm starting to realize that the "building" part is harder than I thought.

Oh, you are? That's wonderful!

[Mami knows nothing about computers. She knows how to look up recipes, but she can barely open the start menu.]

Atomic Restructuring, that's what Yurippe-san called it. I don't quite understand how it works, but it feels like a slower form of my ribbon magic back before..

Yeah, I got it from her - it sounds better than "playing with dirt", right?

It's actually pretty similar to my own magic I used to have.

I suppose it does. I still make sure to bring hand soap with me whenever I do it, so I don't get my clothes dirty.

[ A very important thing for Mami. ]

Really? What kind of magic did you have?

Can't you just make soap?

Deconstruction and reconstruction - I could break materials apart and reform them how I wished.

Hm, I suppose I could? I don't think I know enough about how soap works to make it myself though..

[ Not that it seems terribly complicated. ]

Anything? Was there any limit?

[Now she's wondering how much "knowledge" of things like "bread" one needs. Flour? Wheat genetics?]

Hmm, well, some items were harder to craft. And I could only transform so many things at once really. It was easier to just reshape things than actually change what they were made of.
