[ Mami has taken the time to set up a video on the school library's computer, trying to make a good impression. So she's sitting in the chair with hair properly drill-like, and a smile on her face, her uniform perfectly pressed and clean. When she wants to, she really puts off an air of dignified grace, even if she's younger than many of the high schoolers here. ]

Hello everyone. If you don't know, my name is Mami Tomoe. I want to thank everyone who voted for me for the position of Secretary on the Student Council. I promise I will do my best to assist the president and vice-president in their goals for the student council. Of course, if anyone has something they'd like to bring up to the student council, please come talk to me at anytime.

With that out of the way, I wanted to gauge interest in something I've been thinking about..

[ Mami reaches off camera to find a piece of poster board and hold up to the camera against her stomach, with her large chest sort of hanging over the top..

On the poster Mami has written "School Cafe" in big blocky letters, with glitter everywhere. There are cut outs from magazines all neatly pasted on the off-white background, pictures of maid dresses, pots of tea, snacks, and a handsome boy dressed as a butler. It's girly and cute and still done with a sense of style to it, even if it looks a little haphazard. ]

My friend Yamashita-kun and I came up with the idea of starting a school cafe, as a club or group activity. Something to have a place for others to come and drink, eat, and socialize after school. We could use a little help getting started, but we'd also like to see what others thought of our idea. See? The waitresses and waiters could even dress as maids and.. [ Oops, her boobs are in the way, she has to pull the board out to show the butler a little better. ] ..and butlers. I think it could be fun.

Well now that you've given that image to us, don't you think it's unfair not to follow through?

I'd appreciate any help you could give. I've never set anything up like this before, and I'm not sure how I would here.

Of course it is, that's exactly why I can't! I'd rather just leave everyone wanting!

[ Lbr, Yuri has no problem with putting the image out there.. or probably even dressing like that just to get a rise out of certain people, then laughing at them for getting excited. There's a certain cruelty that comes with any sort of opportunity for fanservice from Yurippe. ]

Well, we'll have to figure out a location given that the student council members have to try to at least keep up the appearance of following rules. I have an idea for getting a building though.

[ If the SSS takes over the restaurant and displaces the workers, then the building would be empty and they could go in there. That'd be fine.. ]

Maybe sometime I'll be able to convince you, Nakamura-san.

[ It might be hard, but Mami believes she won't fail. Though she is a little surprised herself when she hears the mention of a location. ]

Well, I appreciate the help, but I wouldn't want you to do something against the rules and get in trouble.

I won't get in trouble. Kirino and Haruhi both already understand that the SSS has no intention of following school rules. They're members too, they just happen to follow it. Plus, I'm a veteran at avoiding all kinds of trouble so don't worry about it. This wouldn't be my first rodeo, so don't worry about anything and I'll just call you once I've got one that won't compromise you guys.

Also, it's Yuri or Yurippe. No one calls me Nakamura, so seriously don't bother with it.

Beyond that...I don't want you to put yourself in a place where you could get hurt either, Nakamura-san.

[ Even if the SSS doesn't follow the rules, the last thing Mami wants is someone else getting hurt on her behalf. She can't take anything like that, definitely not right now after getting Sayaka back to normal. ]

Ah..Are you sure? I wouldn't want to appear to be disrespectful.. [ As Yuri's kouhai, and as the type of person who has a hard time being familiar at all, she's worried about calling the other girl by her first name. ]

[ There's an amused laugh at that. ]

I'm not going to get hurt. I won't go off and do anything alone and I'm more than capable of taking care of myself and others. I'm not the leader of a battlefront because obtaining a building is a difficult task and it wouldn't be the first area the SSS has taken.

Yurippe-san or Yurippe-senpai is fine if you're that worried about it.

[ Yuri doesn't really care, she just doesn't ever get called Nakamura. Ever. ]

[ If she can still be respectful, while using the name Yuri wants, then that's perfect for her. Though she can't stop worrying about Yuri's well-being over this location thing. ]

If there's anything I can do, please don't hesitate to ask me, I don't want to take advantage of your kindness..

You're not taking advantage of anything if I offered in the first place.

[ Yurippe wasn't kidding either. Honestly, Mami had come up with the idea and if she was a member of the SSS, Yuri wasn't going to stand in her way. There were a lot of useful points to having a place like a cafe under their thumb too, though Yuri wouldn't mention that now. ]

[ Mami just imagines that Yuri really wants a cafe, or at least, to see girls or boys dressed in cute apparel. Either way, she appreciates the help. ]

Thank you again then, Yurippe-san. I'll find some way i can repay you. [ Expect homemade bakery treats on her doorstep for the next few days, at least for now. ]

[ She does like food, that's a huge portion of it. ]

No problem. [ She's a member of the SSS, so Yuri wouldn't ever consider it as going out of her way, but she won't say no to something like that. ]

Yuri-san...I'm sorry that you got turned into an NPC.

[ Mami doesn't know what else to say, but she can't hold in her guilt. ]

I wish I could have helped, or protected you somehow..

[ Yuri smiles at that, honestly grateful that she's got people who worry about that type of thing. ]

I spent years blaming myself for not being able to protect people I cared about, so I can't tell you to stop the 20-20 hindsight without being the world's biggest hypocrite. What I can tell you is that if we don't focus on what we can do to make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else, then we're that much more at risk. The best any of us can do is become stronger to prevent that, so try not to dwell on it. I'm fine now, so let's just make sure to both do better next time.

[ Mami can't say that she knows Yuri very well yet, but she's been nothing but nice to Mami, and she wants to think they can be friends if they know each other more. ]

It seems like we might have more in common than we knew, even if we're not really the same age. I know I might be younger, but I've...I've lost more than one person I was trying to protect. Because of me they died, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to forget that. That's why I don't want to see anyone else turn into an NPC..

It probably wasn't the exact same thing, but it sounds like we've both got similar situations. I'll tell you about mine sometime if you want. I don't mind telling others, and if you ever need to talk about it I'm willing to listen. It might be worth it to have the ear of someone who's been in a similar situation, though I won't force you.

[Yuri already said she wasn't a magical girl herself, but Mami still wonders what sort of things she might have seen. ]
