Recreating memories works too. Probably only important ones, since some things got repeated that really weren't and they didn't do anything. Memories that are important to the person, even if they didn't really say anything before that...

[ Yuri's voice sort of trails off toward the end there, but then perks up quickly with a subject change. Ish. Of sorts. It doesn't seem like a subject change to the untrained eye, but to Yuri it most definitely is. ]

Who's still an NPC? We can get working on them before anything, we'll figure out a plan of attack from there.

Her name is Muru Muru. She's... well, she's more like a demon, but she serves the god of our world.

I know who Muru Muru is, you told me before. Possibly immortal servant of that Deus guy, right? I meant what do you think it is that she could do to help here? If there's something that one person can do, maybe there's a way for us to replicate it. I wouldn't pry otherwise.

I-I did? Oh, sorry. Well, she had implanted a dead person's memories into a living person as a way of getting around the fact that it's technically impossible to resurrect somebody, but I would bet that that means it's possible to bring back erased memories, too.

Yeah, a while back. Either way, that's not really something we can do.. considering we don't have any living people and combining multiple consciousnesses is.. really dangerous here.

[ She almost sounds like she's got a bit of experience in that department. ]

I know how to do it here. We could probably do it with that.. Ai thing, too. But it's not something worth trying.

Why not?

The way I know how to do it would be using Angel Player. I've done it before, but I put the person in a coma even here in the afterlife for a while and there was no guarantee that the real personality would win out when she did wake. It turned out okay, but I think that was more because of a connection she had with someone else.

So, then, we just need to find someone that the NPC'd person is really close to, right?

[ Because, honestly, in this place, being in a coma isn't the worst thing that can happen to you. Far from it. ]

It's just easiest to recreate a scenario that's important to the person. It was like I got deja vu, then snapped out of it for a moment until someone pulled me out and killed the shadows.

I really hope it's as easy as you say... otherwise, I don't really know if I want to risk kill any NPC's.

So, you going to share something just in case? I'd rather avoid people having to lose their memories, especially since we don't have enough people who've done it to really say definitively that they'll recover every time.

[ Never mind the fact that said terrorist bomber also became one of his best platonic friends and practically his big sister later. ]

Oh, I can probably save you from some bombs. I mean, I'd have to set the bombs myself but I could definitely save you from some.
