I've never managed to see the stars before, I'm no Tineye, or Mistborn, so I could never see through the clouds. Are clear nights common? [ But, in the face of all these new things, he is already distracted from his questions and turning to look at the ground - and the plants. ]

The trees are.. of different colors, brown mostly. The nights are choked with mists - that move in tendrils and cannot enter buildings. Almost everything is stained black, simply because of the ash. It takes a great deal of time to keep anything clean, and so only the great nobles really have much of anything clean on the outside.

The stars are just as ridiculous as the moon though, and the sky is even more ridiculous than that. There aren't any planes or helicopters here though so-- ]

... Really? I haven't seen anything other than browns or blacks, with occasional straw-colors like The Survivor...

It's a little counter intuitive, but it stuck and if I end up with a million different nicknames I'm going to get annoyed. So either Yuri or Yurippe, no substitutes accepted.
