1 - I set these words in steel, for anything not set in metal cannot be trusted
[ Nighttime isn't quite going to be quiet tonight. Elend is new here - and quite new to this style of world as well. ]
I know she said that it was wrong, but this is somewhat insane. No mists - although that great shining thing up there might be burning them away - and all of those - Stars, is that what they are? And no ash!
[ Elend spins in place, staring at the sky, before turning to the nearest person who has come to see what all his noise is about. ]
I've never managed to see the stars before, I'm no Tineye, or Mistborn, so I could never see through the clouds. Are clear nights common? [ But, in the face of all these new things, he is already distracted from his questions and turning to look at the ground - and the plants. ]
Are they this color because its dark? Or are they always.... green?

[ School for him had been a mix of 'whatever books he got his hands on', a Terrisman Steward, and the Steel Ministry's obligators. It didn't happen in a place like this. ]
Is it open for everyone?
no subject
[ Haruhi just shrugs. ]
And yeah, anyone can go in. Why?
no subject
[ He would have liked to make it possible for all of them, but, well. There were lots of things that had to be changed first. ]
no subject
[ A rhetorical question, honestly. ]
But anyway, yeah. Of course anyone can just go in and learn. But if you stay there and learn and live life normally, you'll end up disappearing. Not that I really care.
no subject
[ Not quite defensively. Just a bit more of that 'if he had time, it would have happened, but nothing he can do now'. ]
... Disappearing. You can disappear after you've died? Although I would suppose that "live life normally" would depend on the former world....
no subject
[ Another nonchalant shrug. ]
And that's right. I've seen it happen. People disappearing... and then reincarnating into the hell knows what. Though I'm not even sure if they do reincarnate. But I'm not going to take my chances. I'm not disappearing until I find out the truth about this place. And not until a certain somebody gets his memory back.

[ Hrmn. He doesn't really want to anyway. His wife is somewhere else, so... He's not going anywhere without her. ]
I would join you in that. Which makes the most important question... Where is the library?
no subject
[ She is pretty sure of that, actually. ]
Why?

[ He just wants to go to the library, and likely end up with half of it in his room. ]
