I know everyone's caught up in this whole NPC thing, but... E-er... Actually, this might help, but I was mostly kind of curious.

I saw someone mentioning the fact that Shinji Ikari came back here despite disappearing a while ago... This isn't the first time something like that has happened though. The same thing happened with Fujisaki-san -- Chihiro Fujisaki. So... I guess what I'm getting at is: What do you guys think this means? For someone to just... come back to the afterlife a while after leaving it. I know this could also have relevance to the NPC we're looking for if it has changed appearances or anything, but still. I wanted to know what you all thought.

...A-and, um... I know we've never talked before, but if it's all right, I'd like to talk to Ikari-san about this too! I'm just curious, is all.

[He's about to turn the recording off before quickly adding:]

--Also, uh... Has anyone seen Obama? I think he escaped from my room and I can't find him now.

Of course I have a goal! Isn't that what life's all about? [ More like he's using his goals as ways to be able to continue being lazy or to be able to get girls, but.. hey, it's.. a goal.. all the same, ri.. ght... ]

If you don't got any dreams, then you might as well be dead!

Well.. I mean, we are dead now, but-- y'know what I mean!

Ah... Yeah, you're right. Though to be honest, I can't really think of any goals for myself... I have a dream, but... being here doesn't make it entirely possible anymore.

[His tone drops as he reaches the end of his sentence.]

[ He's.. actually bothering to ask, that's a new one... ]

[His tone and expression are still low, but he responds nonetheless.]

I just wanted to stay with my friends, the Little Busters, forever... Kyousuke was about to graduate so it was going to be a little hard, and then we'd all do the same, but I figured we could all manage to stay close to each other regardless.

[And then a pause, before he continues, sounding somewhat... defeated.]

But... since I'm here, I guess it's impossible now.

Rin and Kyousuke were both here before, but they disappeared not long after. I was sad to find them gone, but... thinking about it, this isn't exactly the ideal place I'd want to stay with them forever in. [Since it means they're dead.]

[ It's a little hard for him to actually relate to that sort of dream. After all, Leon's never been particularly close to anyone at all - hell, Riki's one of the first people who's actually considered him a friend, sort of. And Leon himself isn't selfless enough to consider a dream like staying with his friends top priority.

But even so, he at least bothers to listen. It's already more than you can usually expect from him. ]

Then it doesn't matter they're gone, right? Since this isn't the place you wanted to be together with them anyway.

I mean, I guess so... But it's just upsetting that we're split up like this in the first place. I don't even remember how I died, or how those two did... And I have no idea how everyone else is doing.

If they haven't showed up here, they're probably fine.

[ Leon knows it's not true since he's heard of people dying back home who sure haven't shown up here yet at all, but he doesn't feel like thinking about it too deeply. He wasn't close enough with them, anyway - just like how he isn't close enough with most people. ]

You're not just gonna sit there and worry about it, are you, Naoe? You're gonna ruin your own afterlife.

[Just a part of him is awfully unsure about it, considering how little people are here in the first place. It's not like all the people here are the only ones who have ever died... and he would know, considering his parents' passing.

He's a little surprised by Leon's latter comment though.]

Ruin my own afterlife...? [How is he not supposed to worry about them though?]

Yeah. I mean, if you're just gonna sit around and worry about that, then how're you supposed to have fun? [ Not that it isn't possible, but.. worrying about stuff tends to ruin fun a whole lot. It's exactly why he couldn't just easily live in that school either. He was way too busy constantly worrying someone might come and kill him. ]

Isn't your own happiness in the end the most important?

[ The Leon life... ]

You're right. I think it's okay to at least be concerned about it, but I shouldn't let it bother me too much. [It'll just interfere with whatever remnants of a life he has left, anyway.]

If I do, then I wouldn't be able to enjoy the life I have left... and I'm pretty sure none of them would want that. Especially not Kyousuke. He wanted nothing more than for us to live our lives to the fullest and have fun, even if they were in really weird ways sometimes. So... yeah. You're right, Kuwata-san.
