[Early in the afternoon, Otonashi can be found wandering around campus. Unlike his usual pointless I-Have-Nothing-Better-To-Do wandering though, this time he's looking for something. This fact is probably rather evident as well, considering how he's walking into classrooms, the library, the cafeteria... all while checking under their respective tables and desks, and all over the floor.

What's he looking for? Well you may just have to ask him and find out.]

[Eventually, his search takes him to the computer lab. He contemplates asking the network about whether or not they've seen his missing Something, but he figures he may as well not. After all, he already brought a lot of attention to that Something during his last post, ahem... And he figures with the NPCs and that weird guy acting strangely lately, keeping it off the network may be best.

...But anyway! There is at least one thing he could address, so he may as well do that while he's in here and taking a break from his searching. And so he leaves an audio recording.]

Hey, everyone. It looks like we got a lot of new people here recently, huh? Or at least it suddenly seems that way... But anyway, I guess I just wanted to go ahead and welcome you all here. I know it's not the best place to be in, all things considered, but yeah. I figure it's still worth saying.

[Or something... He just wants to try to be friendly and welcoming, okay!!! and not welcome people via "hi you're dead now watch me shoot this girl" like a certain someone here had done for him...]

Anyway, I'm Otonashi. I've been here for a while, longer than most of you, so if anyone needs help with anything, uh... feel free to ask me, alright? I know being here can be a little rough for some people, so I'd be happy to help.

...Actually no, one last thing. I know the girls and guys are both trying to put together their own sleepovers, but... Guys? I know how some of you can be, so really, take it from me:

Don't try to mess with Yuri, okay? Or her sleepover in general. Just trust me... [He doesn't even want to know what would happen if the dudes barged in on them...]

Well I didn't expect anyone to go through them... It was inside one of the books, so I mean.

Have you found any clues yet?

None. They didn't leave anything behind for me to go off of. I'm searching for this thing completely blindly.

Uhg. Why can't a forensics nut die already so we can take fingerprints and trace evidence?

I don't think that's a good thing to wish upon someone, you know...

Though yeah, that would help. Do you think anyone who's already here might know a little bit about forensics though...?

[tenminutes]

I'm not wishing anyone would die, I'm wishing someone who's going to die anyway would happen to be really into forensics.

[ She shakes her head. ] I'd probably know a little bit more about it than most others since I was involved in a police investigation, but I was a kid so it's not like I remember specific techniques.

[brotonashi]

[Still an awful way to put it...! But whatever, whatever...]

So not enough to help with this case, huh?

[tenminutes]

Definitely not enough.

[ She sighs. ] You were going to be a doctor though, weren't you? That means you're really smart, so go look it up in the library.

Just because I know a lot about biology doesn't mean I can suddenly become an expert in forensics.

[...Though admittedly, it's actually a really good start.]

...I could try though. I'm not sure how much it'd help, but this is really important, isn't it?

[tenminutes]

No, but it means you're smart enough to handle the science and I trust you enough to know you want to help people. If Angel Player gets into the wrong hands it's a big problem, after all. The last time we didn't have it, those shadows appeared.
