2nd Concert - [ video / action ]

A.) Video

 [ Yeah, those videos the owners didn't know were being posted? Have one of those. There's a court yard, apparently belonging to a rich castle or something, In a cage, there is raging zombies. In front of them there is a little boy, playing the violin and an older man accompanying him. The sound of his violin appears to make the zombies sing along. The daughter of the castle's owner demands to have that violin bought for herself. The little boy, appearing to be a much younger Kohaku, refuses. She is enraged and releases the zombies at him. It appears the music of the violin protects the boy with ease, but his suspected father falls victim to their attacks. The flashback and transmission ends there. ]

B.) Action

[ If you're in the school, you might be noticing violin music. Not just any violin music - you can tell that the one playing the violin here is skilled beyond compare. Despite playing solo, his soft and clear sound reaches the heart. It's almost fragile, you can't grasp it and yet it brings a certain sentimentality over you. 
If you happen to find the orchestra room, you will see Kohaku being the source of these sounds that are so contradictory to his personality. His usually angry or annoyed face is full of peace and concentration as he plays - this is him, his essence. Only sometimes he frowns. He's used to a much better violin, something special and the one he plays now is ordinary at best. He tuned it as well as he can, but it just isn't the same. Still, it's better than being without music.

Why the fuck would I need musical sense?

Because it may help you some to not be an ignorant fuck and easily dismiss something grand just because you're too lazy to wrap your head around its potential importance.

Yeah, because you're too lazy to figure out a single thing about it. Truth is, you couldn't do it, because it would go right over your head.

[ Kohaku can't believe he of all people is apparently giving someone some sort of 'there is more than fighting' speech. It's near surreal. ]

It's just sound. People singing, playing instruments, whatever. It doesn't serve a real purpose.

Well, in my case it's the only fucking way left to save a damn world. Wouldn't be surprised if that works elsewhere too but nobody has ever even tried. Or had any damn talent or patience to get this far.
Music gets into heads - people, monsters... if you're good, you can make them feel whatever.

I highly doubt music is going to fucking... lull Titans or whatever. Zoe's probably already tried that.

Kind of hard to accept that something that controls your entire world ends up being entertainment in another. Seems like it just makes zero sense.

Titans have even less class than I do, so it's not that fucking surprising.

What do those things in your world even look like?

[violined]

Cross a dead and kinda decaying body with a porcelain doll and you get them pretty accurately. The virus makes the corpse grow hardened and cracked, the mouth opens wider, the eyes turn glazed and wide and they keep walking with whatever wounds they had or get. Sometimes they deform more sometimes less. You can still recognize who they were, but man, they're not pretty.

Well, Gwin would say they are, but nobody agrees with him on that.

So they're dead bodies... human sized? How are they killed?

[He can't imagine something human and small being hard to kill.]

Human-sized, yeah. Wouldn't be so bad if the entire world wasn't flooded with them. It's a neverending stream. [ He almost feels compelled to defend his world's dangerousness. The fact that Levi's home might be worse feels almost like an attack to the suffering his own home had been put through. ]

Music is the safest way to get rid of them. Lucille's voice can literally blow them up. [ He hates Lucille's guts but that is kinda cool. ] But destroying the head keeps them from moving pretty well. To be sure they won't get back up you need to burn them to ashes though.

Using music for something like that still seems really pussy to me.

Oi, will you just shut up about it?! You haven't been there, you haven't seen the orchestra in action either so you can stop pretending you know jack shit about how we work.

[ For a moment he looks more sincerely angry than his usual aggression but then he decides it's not worth it. He knows what music is worth after all. ]

One day my songs are gonna save your ass and make you shut up about it forever.
