Recreating memories works too. Probably only important ones, since some things got repeated that really weren't and they didn't do anything. Memories that are important to the person, even if they didn't really say anything before that...

Well I am, and yes it is. We used to be a rebel force against God, but now we fight the Programmer. You obviously have your heart in the right place if you're risking yourself for a dumbass NPC who's fighting you every step of the way just because it's the right thing to do.
