[So far Celica and Ichigo have been doing a pretty good job taking care of their egg child, whom they have respectively named Oeuffy. Today they decided to have some fun and bake an angel cake with the company of Oeuffy, though! So when the video feed comes on, Celica can be seen by a counter with a delicious iced cake. Ichigo is the one holding the phone and recording, of course.

But yes. Celica happily waves to the camera.

Hello, everyone~! I hope you're all doing well and are having a good time with your egg babies. Ichigo and I have been doing very well with ours, I think... His name is Oeuffy. Cute, right?

Anyway! Today we decided to bake a cake with him watching, which has been fun. So.. I wanted to know what you all have been doing with yours! Or if you have any cute or fun stories in general with them-- [Suddenly a pause, as she looks slightly concerned.] ...E-eh? Ichigo, what's wrong?

W-where's... Where's Oeuffy?! I don't see him anywhere!

--H-huh?! Isn't he over there--? [She turns to look off-camera, only to have her eyes widen in horror.] Oh... Oh no... Where is he?! He was just there a second ago! [And suddenly, even more panicked.] We didn't... We didn't use him for the cake, did we?

Did we eat Oeuffy?!

[And with that, the feed rapidly drops, literally, as Ichigo drops the phone. At this point, all that can be seen is a screen of black, and all that can be heard is Celica and Ichigo shouting about having had eaten their baby as they run around the kitchen.

I'm sorry to hear that. Do you think maybe you've just misplaced it somewhere? Perhaps you put it somewhere safe like in a cabinet or in the refrigerator?

[It's not funny! It's a tragedy, okay...!]

We might have, but... We can't find him anywhere! There's only one place he could be...

[In their stomachs.]

M-Maybe--! I hope so.. We can't find him though!

Are you sure you brought the egg with you to the kitchen? Maybe you left it in a different room, knowing you didn't want it around other eggs..

[ Mami is trying to help...but it seems these two might be a little scatterbrained. ]

[Celica nods, sighing.]

Y-yes, we're positive... We had brought him in here so he could watch his two mothers bake with one another. We thought he might enjoy it...

Perhaps you can explain the situation to the teacher? They might understand the...situation you've found yourself in.

[ If Mami was the teacher she'd be strict, but she knows she'd give well meaning students a second chance. ]

Or...maybe someone has an egg they don't plan to take care of.

B-But what if he just tells us that we're cannibal mothers like Kuwata-senpai says!?

Exactly, what Ichigo said! Either that or he'll assume we're careless and irresponsible... Both cases aren't that good. And I could never take someone else's child away from them...

A teacher wouldn't say something like that to his students. "NPC" or not, they must be more dignified than that.

[ Or she'd like to hope. ]

If a person doesn't want to take care of their egg, then you would be doing them and the poor child a favor, don't you think? [ Mami thinks it's a bit silly to think of an egg as a child, but she's getting into it. ]

[Oh that's... a good point...]

You mean like adoption?

[ She's repeating Celica's words, but she seems very serious about Oeuffy here, so she still looks positively distraught. ]

But what if Oeuffy isn't dead and he's watching and he sees us just replace him like it was nothing!?

That's right. You may have made a mistake, but I'm sure you've both learned from it right, and are going to be better parents because of is.

[ Besides, it's not like it's a real child.. ]

You shouldn't give up searching. Make sure you look everywhere, don't forget to look where you'd least expect it. [ Mami may be the underclassman here, but she doesn't really sound it. ]

I'd least expect to find him on the roof, but... I don't think checking there would be safe.

Really? I'd least expect him at the bottom of the river or hiding out in a bird's nest in the forest or something...

[ Ichigo's ideas are pretty strange too... Mami should probably help them.. ]

[ ...These two girls. Mami can't help but facepalming a little. These girls are supposed to be her senpai's but it seems like she will have to step up. ]

The point of the saying is that you will often find lost things in the place you'd least expect it, among places you have been. So where else have you been besides the home ec room?

Um... There's my bedroom... the bathroom... the cafeteria...

That's the same for me. Oh! And the greenhouse! I planted lots of strawberries there.

Do you remember bringing the egg to any of those places? Did you check the refrigerator, perhaps you left it in there? There was the little electronic sensor on the back of the egg, you couldn't have cooked that, right?

Well if we did use it for the cake, then we would have cracked the sensor off, so...

[They also would have touched the sensor, but you know. What is common sense.]

I did have it in my bedroom and the cafeteria at some point, at least. I don't think I brought it into the bathroom. What about you, Ichigo?
