004 - [audio / action ] Rock! Rock! Rock over Afterlife!
audio;
Guuuys! If you were crazy enough to not go outside already, then grab a scarf or something and come out here, it's amazing! Kind of weird considering we just had a beach and now it's all... arctic? Antarctic? Anyway! There's penguins! Come out and see, it's so great!
[ From the sound of it, he's already outside, broadcasting with his cellphone. And boy does he sound excited. ]
action;
[ Honestly, it's things like these that make Yamashita forget he's dead. The weirdness of the happenings alienates him each time, but only for a moment, and then he's just into it. It's a good thing sometimes to have a simple one-track-ish mind. He can just honestly enjoy himself now and forget sorrow for a good while.
Wrapped in a lot of clothes that look kind of out of place, Yamashita can be found outside close to a group of penguins, kind of attempting to get closer and pat them on the head. They mostly walk away from him though, presumably thinking 'what a weird enthusiastic kid'. ]

[ And then he sees the penguins behind her and stops. Yamashita may have developed a ridiculous appreciation for Madoka, but this sight takes the price. He kind of flails, just so impressed by her penguin fellowship. ]
Uwaaah, are you a penguin whisperer?!
no subject
[ She looks a little surprised at the sudden exclamation, but when she looks behind her she understands what he's aiming at and instead looks a little bit more humble and maybe slightly sheepish. ]
Ah.. no, it's nothing like that. They just followed me after I gave them some food..
no subject
[ Now he's going down to his knees to look at the penguins more closely, smiling. ]
Who'd have thought they'd be so grateful? Though I guess they could always just want more, hmh..
no subject
She can't help but glance at him though while he's sitting there with the animals. ]
... Yousuke-san, do you like penguins..?
no subject
[ He looks back at her at the question and then he nods - not once but three times, just for good measure. ]
I do, yep! I'm no expert on them or anything, but I always thought they were cute - and really cool, of course!
[ And he's so painfully blind to the cruel irony of his own home universe, too. ]
no subject
It's glad though to have a favourite kind of animal, I think. You must be glad to see them around now.
no subject
[ Yamashita isn't sure if they're his favourite for real, but if he was asked to pick a specific one, then penguins were high on the list. ]
Do you have any animal you like a lot then?
no subject
obviously it's Kyuubey.]Um, not really, I guess.. I really like all kinds of animals since I think every single one of them has something nice about them.
[ Did you really expect any different answer from Madoka "practically Jesus" Kaname.. ]
no subject
[ He should really have known she'd say this kind of thing and it still comes as a surprise. ]
Even if they do, it's rare to meet people without personal preference...
[ Madoka is like a white shining light, it's hard to make out the shape. Maybe it's that. ]
no subject
I suppose I can't help my feelings, but if it would be more normal to have a preference, I could try really hard to pick something..
no subject
Nonono! It's not weird! You're not weird!
[ Deep breath. ]
You don't need to do anything like that! There's no trouble caused by you liking animals equally, right? Then there's no reason to change that about yourself. Look at those penguins! They like you, too! They don't mind! So if they don't, why would someone else?
no subject
A.. ah, I-I guess you're right! [ Quickly nodding, but she seems a little worried at how he's flailing like that.. it almost makes it sound like she said the wrong thing either way, so agreeing with him is probably the best option here. ]
Please don't worry, Yousuke-san! I'll do my best to believe in my lack of preference..!
[ That's probably the dumbest thing that could ever be said, but with these two... it's inevitable. ]
no subject
That's the spirit!
[ He hadn't even realized that he kind of liked motivating people (or at least pathetically attempting to do so) until he met Madoka, but looking back on his previous life choices it was fairly obvious. ]
