[Young (5-9) Sonia Nevermind is standing obediently outside of the school, as if awaiting someone. Occasionally she rocks back and forth on her heels - and by the way, she is dressed incredibly elaborately. Like almost Disney princess ball-gown elaborate. She tilts her head, wondering what's taking so long. Dare you ask what she's waiting on?]

[VOICE]

[Sonia's mastered the phone at that age anyway, so she calmly states the following message.]

Is this the police? I would like to report my own kidnapping. I cannot name the assistants or give you a proper description , but it is of utmost importance that I be returned to my father and mother immediately. I await your correspondence.

[ .. Wow, this girl looks so pretty..

Don't mind the little kid standing a little distance away from you, Sonia. He looks fairly normal, at least, without the usual Leon hair (his hair is more a normal brown now and shaven shorter) but he's still positively gawking in Sonia's direction with her kind of dress. If his mouth opens any wider, his jaw will be on the floor. ]

[She notices she's being stared at, and looks towards him. She smiles, as if having found her answer.

... Then she waves her arm around, yelling.]

KIDNAPPER! I'VE BEEN KIDNAPPED BY THIS PERSON!

[tsunball]

[ He doesn't get what's going on here at all. Leon quickly looks to the left and then to the right, like he's supposed to see said kidnapper, but there isn't anyone else around.. so he quickly runs towards her, actually looking a little scared himself. ]

T.. there's a kidnapper here?! Where?!

[princesspool]

Why, you're the kidnapper of course. You can't fool me! Mother and Father said kidnappers can come in any shape and size. So you're going to jail for a long time!

[All of which said matter-of-factly.]

[tsunball]

...

Wait.. I.. I'm the kidnapper?! But I didn't kidnap anyone.. I-- I wouldn't do that, that's a bad thing to do!

[ Pre-punk rock Leon.. not entirely pre-rule breaker Leon, but at least a little better. ]

[princesspool]

You kidnapped me! You took me from the castle! So you're going to jail, unless you apologize and promise to never ever do it again!

[tsunball]

But I didn't do that at all..! I mean-- I would apologize, but it's not my fault so I don't have to!

[ .. wait, thinking about it, how did he get here..? ] I was kidnapped too, you know..!

[princesspool]

... Eh? You were? Really?

[She squints, not sure if she believes him.]

[tsunball]

Well, I don't remember being kidnapped, but I sure don't remember getting here either.. [ He pouts a little. ] My parents aren't even here.. I.. I mean-- not that I can't do things by myself..!!

[ Leon: the eight year old who already desperately wants to be cool. ]

[She gives this some thought, but then decides to nod.]

If what you say is true, we still must find the police. We need to return home as soon as possible.

[tsunball]

Hmm.. [ The police..? He looks around to the left and to the right, but there doesn't seem to be anyone around who looks like a police officer.. ]

They're not here, but.. maybe we just need to look! [ He holds his hand out to Sonia. ] Wanna go look with me?

[princesspool]

[She hesitates...]

... Don't you think you should introduce yourself first?

[because um excuse you SHE AIN'T TOUCHIN' NO COMMONER HAND RIGHT AWAY]

[tsunball]

[ WOW SONIA. Then again, he doesn't even know she's a real princess, he just figures she's one of those girls who likes to dress up in Disney princess dresses and all.. ]

Well.. my name's Leon. Nice to meet you..? [ A LITTLE HESITANT.. he's not too sure how to do formal introductions since he's not formal at all, even as a kid. ]

[princesspool]

No, no... didn't your parents teach you that?

[She sighs. Oh, you little people.]

You're supposed to bow, and say "It is an honor to meet you, your highness." Then you kiss my hand.

[tsunball]

Kiss your hand?! [ But that sounds an awful lot like girl cooties. He stares at her hand for a few moments like he isn't sure what to do.. ]

Isn't it okay if I just say that part and bow? .. Wait, are you even really a princess though?

[princesspool]

[oh no you did not.]

Of course I'm really a princess! I am Princess Sonia Nevermind, heir to the throne of Novosolic!

[tsunball]

[ That name does sound fancy like a princess, but..

.. give him a moment here as he tries to pronounce it-- ]

No.. Novosli... .. slic... [ Good job, Leon. ] I've never heard of that before.. is it in Europe?

[princesspool]

Yes!

[She then hesitates, and looks a little downtrodden.]

... It's not really well known... B-But it's still important! And I'm still a princess!

[tsunball]

Well.. [ .. He's thinking it over. Give him a moment or two before he can make a decision. ]

You seem nice and not too loud like some other girls.. so.. I guess you must be telling the truth then! You're the first princess I've ever met!

[princesspool]

[That cheers her up, and she smiles.]

... I've never been outside with anyone else my age before.

[tsunball]

[ Man, a real princess. It actually impacts him less than it would if he were older since a princess is such a fairytale concept that it seems closer than it should be.. but princesses are still special. They're like girls, but cooler. Something like that.

So when she smiles, he grins in his own dumb way. ]

Then you're outside now! With me! .. Even if it's 'cause of a rude kidnapper.

[princesspool]

Oh, don't you worry. When we find the real kidnapper, I'm going to send him to jail for a million years. And another million for kidnapping you.

[tsunball]

Wow, a million?! [ His brain can't even comprehend just how big exactly that number is. Just that it's a whole lot. ]

I didn't know people had to stay in jail for that long!

[princesspool]

Bad people should be in jail forever and ever!

[tsunball]

Well.. I guess that's right. If they do something really bad, I mean.

.. Stealing from the cookie jar isn't that bad, right? [ He doesn't want to go to jail since he did that at his parents' house, save him, Sonia.. ]
