001 - First Battle
[And so a young man awakens on school grounds today.]
Oh man, what just happened? Where am I? Pikachu? Citron? Eureka? ... Serena? Where'd everyone go?
[Once he gains some semblance of his bearings, Satoshi will be wandering the grounds, looking for his friends.]
Citroooon! Eureeeeeka!
[Your character may notice his yelling and come to see what's up, or if he spots them first, he might come over and ask...]
Hey, uh... Do you know where this is by any chance...?

Anyway, I'm Satoshi, from Masara Town.

I can't say I've ever heard of your professor either, but he must do excellent work to be what your town is known for. [He couldn't have meant the whole Kanto region, surely.] I'm from Yokohama myself.
no subject
[... Not that he knows where Yokohama is since he knows it better as Kuchiba City.]

[Taking one last look at the clock on her phone, Umi slips her phone back into her pocket and offers Satoshi a smile.]
Are you hungry? If you like we can go to the dining hall and get something to eat. Then maybe you could tell me what your professor knows so much about.
[She'll have to work the truth about this place into the conversation at some point, it wouldn't be fair not to tell him that this is the afterlife. Perhaps after they eat.]

[There might be one small problem with this idea, that problem being meal tickets, but she doesn't mind sharing some of her own for today.]
You need tickets to be able to get any food from the dining hall, but once you start going to class it shouldn't be too long before you're given some.
[Or you know, steal some from the NPCs. That works too.]

[You can almost see the question mark appear above his head.]

[She can tell he seems confused, so she'll try and explain as best she can to clear things up.]
Since this is a school there are classes to go to. That should explain the uniform you're wearing too, everyone gets their own set of clothes when they come here.
no subject
[... Apparently he didn't notice his different outfit until now.]
no subject
[Though she knows having his actual clothes and just lookalikes won't be the same. She's trying to be as reassuring as she can given the circumstances.]

[Now then-] If you're still hungry we can make our way over to the dining hall now. [Perhaps eating will help Satoshi take his mind off of his clothes.]
no subject
[And he'll start to walk in a randomly chosen direction which may or may not be the right way to the dining hall.]
no subject
Actually, it's over this way.
[Umi gives him a small smile before turning to lead them off in the right direction of the dining hall.]
no subject
[Okay, let's go the right direction this time.]

Once they arrive at the dining hall, Umi will tell Ash to find a table to sit at while she goes off and grabs something to eat for the two of them. She's the one with the meal tickets right now after all.
As the special this week looked and smelled so good, Umi will soon be wandering over with a tray on which are two helpings of roasted butternut squash.]
Here you go, I hope you like squash.

[Umi slides a plate of food and some cutlery across the table to Satoshi before taking the second plate for herself, sitting down across from Satoshi to eat. She wouldn't want to be rude and interrupt him while he's eating, so she'll remain quiet for a few moments to allow the two of them to eat before she speaks up again.]
So, your professor. What field does he work in?

[That... Doesn't ring any bells at all.]
