[Once he gains some semblance of his bearings, Satoshi will be wandering the grounds, looking for his friends.]

The phones here have a list of everyone that's shwon up on them, except for NPCs that is. Here, I can show you.

[Umi holds out her phone, making sure a few names from the address book are still on screen.]

They're really very useful when you want to find someone in particular.

NPCs? Like a video game...?

I've heard people ask if they're from video games before, but I'm not familiar enough with them to say.

[The 1960s didn't exactly have many widely available video games...]

What I do know is they look like you and me, except they only go to class and seem to act out an ordinary school life for themselves.

Well, it's not that we don't have Pokémon... it's more that they're not real creatures back home; they're part of a video game.

It's kind of sad, but that's okay! I've met talking animals in the afterlife, so it makes up for it.

Well, I can show you some of our animals if you want. Since that's what we have instead.

Frogs and ducks and maybe some birds.
