Don't worry though, if you guys got angry, I'll provide any sort of consolation. Provided that it's not completely crazy.

But anyway, it looks like I'm the only one left from my world. Ha, that's a funny thought! Now then: who here's alone from their world? Inquiring minds want to know~

OPTION B: action

[ Today, Haruhi is simply moping around in the afternoon, staring at her Key Coffee and lunch, merely poking it with her chopsticks slowly as she finally decides to start eating it with a deep sigh. If anyone shows up around her, however, she'll go back to being chipper, even if it isn't real. ]

[ Ichigo stays quiet, looking down while Haruhi talks, but before long she reaches her hand out across the table to try to grab and hold Haruhi's. ]

It's really painful.. being here without the people you care about. I can't imagine if I had them with me then lost them again... but I don't want to lose you too, Haruhi!

I don't think I'll be going anywhere for a while. I still need answers to so many questions. And to be honest, I don't like seeing people I'm close to disappear.

Seeing it happen twice is already enough.

I.. I know it's probably mean to say, since someone told me the reason we're here is because we have regrets, but I'm glad that you're not going anywhere.

[ Ichigo looks down though, then tries to force a smile. It's weak, but she's trying. ] I know how that feels though. I've lost a couple of roommates already, some friends I made here too. It might not be as close as you and your friends but... I know how it hurts.

Don't worry about it. I already know.

[ She's known for a while now, after all. But Haruhi will match that smile, eating more now. ]

Well, I've lost several roommates, though the one I have right now though's stuck for a while.

Even if they do, I won't leave you alone!

[ Ichigo looks pretty determined suddenly. She's got a feeling about what she needs to do to leave, but it probably won't happen. Even the one time that she had the chance to find out what she wants to know, she ended up in the Sweets Kingdom instead of where she needed to be. ]

[ Haruhi's suddenly silent. She doesn't know if she wants to say this; especially since it's difficult for her already as it is. Maybe it's the intoxicating pessimism in her, or perhaps it's something else. Either way, she's uncertain. ]

How do you know that for certain? ... I don't mind the sentiment, though.

I think the reason I'm here is because I don't know if Makoto is okay. If I was killed and I'm here, but he's not.. does that mean he's alright? Does it mean he's somewhere in a hospital, stuck in a coma? What if me dying interfered with his ability to bake..?

[ Because she knows that she even has trouble when things are really, really bothering her. A strong heart is important to baking properly. When you don't feel good, what you're making doesn't taste as good no matter how the technique is. ]

I don't think I can move on until I know that he's okay. The only chance I had I couldn't make it there because I ended up in the Sweets Kingdom instead of Japan, or France, or wherever he is.. [ Another problem with having a boyfriend who travels. ]

If that's why I'm here, then there's no way I'll be able to leave unless I get that chance again, so I don't think I'll be leaving you alone any time soon.

[ Haruhi's silent momentarily; she doesn't say anything as she thinks it over, remembering the time that she had returned back home. ]

I see where you're coming from. I haven't seen two of my brigade members since I've been here, and I don't know what happened to them. Out of the five of us, three are dead, and I know that. I'm not sure how the other two died, and personally, I don't know if I want to figure it out.

[ She does, however, want to confirm how Kyon died. That's the biggest problem with having an amnesiac. ]

When I went back home, all I wanted was to find out the truth. I still want to. That's one of the reasons why I'm in the SSS to begin with. But I'm sure that you'll be able to figure it out soon enough, Ichigo-chan. Because there's definitely a way to do it now. We just have to figure out how.

Isn't it better to find out..? Instead of having to worry forever... but.. I think we'll work it out, Haruhi. We'll figure out how to do this no matter what!

Sometimes it isn't better to find out how someone died. Especially if it's by murder. But I do plan on finding out everything else. You can count on that.

I think it would be better to know. If someone goes missing, I would want to know if there was or wasn't hope.

A missing person is different from a murder though, you know.

I mean like... longer cases! Like on the news, when people go missing for months and usually something bad happened but you just don't know.

But isn't there a thing that when people go missing they're considered dead?

But there's still always that hope right? If there's no proof that they are.

That's true. But I already know that two of my brigade members are dead. I don't want the other two to forget me, but... maybe that's just wistful thinking.

I don't think anyone could ever forget you, Haruhi. Not on purpose. I think something bad must have happened to Mr. Kyon to make that happen, I don't think he would've wanted to forget you if he had a choice.

Well, he's naturally grumpy, so I wouldn't be surprised if he did forget me on purpose. But it doesn't look like I'll ever know.

There has to be some way to find out!

The only way to find out is by going back, right? When I went back, I didn't see anything of the sort.

We didn't know what to look for when we could go back right? I didn't even end up near where Makoto-kun would've been, so there's a chance that it was just the wrong location to find out! [ She sounds awfully determined about this. ]

Well, I went to the town where everyone lived, so I definitely checked Kyon's house when I got there, and well, nothing. I even went home, too.

He could have moved, right? I was in London before I got here.

[ Haruhi shook her head, looking down. ]

I'm pretty sure he didn't. I saw his sister in the house when I went.

[ Didn't get to talk to her, but she did see her. Shortly. ]
