He might have been here for a few weeks now but it was still quite the challenge to work some of the technology here. ... Do any of you have Leimorne where you're from? Back home I was fighting to help the humans and Leimorne come to trust each other, one of my friends was even gonna start a whole organization about it when the lycanth hunt was over and we stopped the King's plans.

[He's really hoping someone here knows what he's going on about, otherwise he's just going to end up speaking a load of gibberish.]

So I wanted to ask, do any of you have people who aren't human where you're from and do you get along with them? Like there's no difference between how you and them are treated.

[And that's it, there's his message. While waiting for replies, Caius will be fiddling around with the laptop he's using. Adjusting the camera, tapping buttons, just generally messing around to see if he can get a better grasp on these things.]

[It might be possible to spot smoke billowing out from the trees behind the dojo later in the day. Not like rolling clouds of the stuff, but a thin stream of black smoke that rises up into the sky and could easily be spotted by anyone walking around the school grounds today.

Should anyone investigate the source of the smoke, they'll find Caius in a small clearing with a well lit campfire nearby. There are a few sticks set aside in a pile in case the fire needs tending and it's surrounded by small rocks to keep it under control.

Caius is standing a short distance away from the fire, wielding a long stick he picked up in one of his hands. He swings the stick back and forth a few times before talking out loud to himself.]

Come on, I've done this hundreds of times... Demon Fang! [...] How about this, Sword Rain!

[He's trying to get his artes to work, but he isn't have much success. Luckily, most of his artes are just various sword swings, so he can emulate them pretty well even if they lack the power and speed his artes usually do. Care to interrupt his little camp out-slash-training session?]

... Man, here for a moment I was sure Leimorne was gonna be some kind of obscure rock band! [ Priorities all over the place. He sighs deeply, like all his hopes and dreams have just been crushed. ]

Nah, it's not the name of an actual rock band.. at least, not one I know of. [ He's not even assuming here Caius doesn't know what rock is, he figures the guy just knows since he said "group".. ]

But it sounds a little like the names some other bands have, so I thought it might be one from where you come from!

[Oh he knows what rock is. There are plenty of rocks all over the place. Especially on mountains, yup, lots of rocks there.]

No, the Leimorne aren't a band of people. It's what they are, Leimorneans. [...] A rock band sounds like a group of people who really like exploring caves, or mining or something.

Ah yeah, I get that this is a school. [Albeit nothing like the schools he knows about from back home.] And I know there isn't a king here, I was more curious about what people know about the Leimorne.

[Plus since he's dead and a lot of the Leimorne back home were sacrificed and died he thought it wouldn't be too far-fetched for another Leimorne to be here. But it doesn't look like that's the case.]

But uh, thanks for the welcome. I've actually been here for a little while now, this is my first time using these screen things to talk to everyone like this though.

Like I said, I've never heard anyone else talk about Leimorne, so I guess none of them have arrived here. Were you expecting them to?

And... I was sort of thinking there might be some around, I'm not sure. [...] I was expecting there to be a lot more people here actually, Leimorne or not.

I have never heard of a Leimorne. But there are people who aren't human. Though they're treated exactly the same.

Even if you haven't heard of them it's still good to hear that everyone is treated the same! That's how I wanted things back home to be like.

[But then he died so whoops, looks like he'll never get the chance to see things improve.]

They're only treated the same because humans are ignorant; they don't seem to know the difference between their own species and another sometimes.

[ Of course Yuri went to investigate smoke. It's not like forest fires started or anything, so she was curious. When she came upon this scene, she tilted her head slightly. Never mind the yelling of weird things that sounded like they were some weird video game attack, there was something much more pressing here. ]

Are you camping out here? You know you have a bedroom, right?

Huh?! Oh, yeah, of course I know I've got a bedroom!

[He almost ends up dropping the stick when he hears Yuri speak up, but he manages to keep a hold of it and end up resting it over one of his shoulders.]

I don't have all the supplies I'd need for a proper camp out right now anyway. This is just me taking a break from all that school stuff I guess.

[Oh hey, it's the guy that got run over by NPCs... Huh. To him he isn't causing a scene, the fire is well under control and it's making no more smoke than a fire would have back home.]

Uh- It's an arte. [That probably didn't explain much.] It's like a technique you can use in a fight, I guess.

An arte? Sounds more like some made up word kids use when playing with sticks. [What was this guy, twelve? He's like some kinda hero out of a story book.]

When he hears a voice behind him, Caius stops his practice and turns around to see who's there.]
