Hello there, my name is Mami Tomoe. I'm a third year middle school student, and it looks like tomorrow will be my first day in class here.
I suppose I'll need to go and find some supplies for my first day at school? I never would have guessed I would need to looking for a notebook again after I died. Does anyone have any recommendations?
[ Mami's voice sounds a little cheery, though she's always been so very great at putting on a facade that hid her true feelings. ]
I hope I won't be too far behind the lessons, if I am I might have to ask someone to help tutor me so I can catch up.
Well, thank you for your time.

[ On her first day Mami will be trying her best to find her classes, but she might need some helping making sure to go to the right room. Or perhaps she just looks lonely, sitting by herself as she eats, unable to convince herself to try and find someone to share lunch with. It might be obvious that there's something bothering her, perhaps the normalness of all she is suddenly hit with, after preparing herself for her own death.
In general though, she seems approachable, as she always has wanted to be, and wouldn't say no to a friendly face. ]

[ Haruhi nods triumphantly, placing her hands on her hips with a huge grin on her lips. As the band leader, it's obvious that she'll force her band members to come with the best name ever. ]
Well, I don't know Italian, but I guess I could learn. But I always thought the language of love was French! Hmmmm... this is complicated. I could always make the band name in English if I really have to.
[ And then she nods at her question, smiling wide. ]
Yeah, that's right. Ichigo-chan's the best baker in this place! Well, probably besides me.

[ Naming her attacks might be hard to explain, but at least it was a good use for her foreign language skills. ]
You can cook as well, Suzumiya-san? I hope we can bake something together sometime. It's always more fun to help a friend when it comes to cooking.

[ Haruhi nods yet again, her grin widening before a light laugh escapes her. ]
Yeah, that's right! My mother can't cook, so I had to learn how to. Maybe we could just have a cooking party with everyone!

I'd like that. I'd like to meet new friends, if I could. It must be easier to get through all of this, having friends you can trust around..

[ Spoken like a true nonchalant master.. ]

[ The time change is going to be strange, but more worrisome, is that Mami will be alone..again, on Valentine's Day. ]
Shadows?
no subject
[ It's okay, Mami: you can join the Forever Alone Hearts club.. ]
Yeah, shadows. They're literal shadows that eat people up and take a person's soul.
no subject
..What? [ Mami is stunned, rightfully so. ] That's terrible... How do you stop them? My Gem isn't... [ She wants to explain, but holds herself back, unable to tell Haruhi about the whole magical girl thing. ]
no subject
[ She's curious, but she'll let it slide for the time being; that's not important. ]
You can get rid of them by using weapons of any kind as long as you don't touch them for long periods of time.
no subject
Weapons? Are there weapons here?
no subject
[ There's a holster under her skirt with a gun, just in case. She can never be careful, after all. ]
People usually make their weapons with atomic restructuring. If you want me to teach you, I don't mind teaching you!
no subject
You know how to do something like that? I think..I might already know how to do that.
[ Well, how different could it be than creating weapons as she already did, or so she thinks. ]
Suzumiya-chan...you aren't a magical girl are you? [ And boom, dropped that bomb of a question already. ]
no subject
Ah, really...? [ She'll just laugh awkwardly at that, uncertain. ] But no, I'm not a magical girl of any sort! Are you?
no subject
No...I'm just a regular middle school girl. [ She smiles, trying her best not to sound like she's lying. ]
no subject
[ She won't ask, even though Haruhi has the slight feeling that she's lying. Oh, well. ]
Man, and I thought I was going to meet someone with super-cool powers! I mean, I've met aliens, time travelers, and espers... a magical girl to top it all off would be amazing, you know?
no subject
[ All those things are things Mami's met with, and knows exists. But she's surprised that Haruhi has seen them, despite not being a magical girl. The whole alternate world thing is still not something she understands. ]
You've must have had an interesting life then. [ Even though she had seen similar things, she would never say her life was interesting. Not after she found out the truth.. but at least she can fake enthusiasm to cheer up Haruhi. ]
no subject
[ Haruhi swallows nervously, shaking her head, a melancholic smile on her lips. ]
My life wasn't all that interesting, really...
no subject
[ There's definitely a sound of loneliness to her own words. ]
no subject
[ Haruhi folds her arms over her chest, narrowing her amber brown eyes in an annoyed state, spinning on her heel as she speaks up in a slightly, authoritative, yet slightly annoyed tone. ]
Ordinary life like that… [ Her voice is as low as a growl as she says this, clenching her hands into tight, balled fists, gritting her teeth. ] I didn’t want a life like that. That kind of life-- there’s no way I would accept a life like that.
[ Of course, she’s speaking more to herself than to Mami at this point; she doesn’t mind ordinary days at times, but having it for so long was something that she despised so much. It made her feel insignificant. ]
no subject
There are worse lives you could have had. You could have been a slave, or been forced to see your friends die in front of you. Isn't ordinary better than that?
[ Her voice is quiet, but sure, for the first time in a long time, trying to let how she feels out. ]
