[ Of course, that's not how it works, here. And he knows it. In a way that's almost certainly going to make him late for class, he slowly peeks out of his dorm room, trying to time it so that he's not going to be near anyone else in the hallways. As if he were trying to traverse a mine field, he's slowly, cautiously, taking wide, swerving steps throughout the hallway, his eyes constantly looking upwards for signs of mistletoe.

He can smell it. Mistletoe, everywhere. He knows what's been happening with that. Even if Yuno isn't here anymore... he doesn't want to risk it. ]

I'd kill for my Diary right about now...

[ He grumbles, trying to dodge yet another mistletoe on the ceiling. Of course, this particular one is right in the middle of one of the busiest corridors in the entire school. He's not paying attention. Cue a potential collision... ]

[ To say the least. And... he's still somewhat in denial that she won't return again. He's seen Yuno here, twice. ]

[ .. Oh. Awkward. Not even the part that says she wouldn't be happy, but more that she disappeared. The last thing Madoka wants to do is drag up painful memories, so she can't help but feel a little guilty. ]

I'm sorry, I didn't know.. I'm sure she would understand though if it was an emergency. I mean, it's not like you would be kissing a person since you like them in this case..

[ In a way Madoka is trying to understand it since she hates condemning anyone, no matter who it is. But on the other hand, it sounds terribly difficult to grasp - why would someone not understand it had to happen in an emergency? Anyone would understand that for the sake of the person they love.. right? ]

[ .. yeah. Not very cheery. And even though Madoka's been in contact with witches and seen her friends die and all that great stuff, hearing something like that still surprises her all the same - and makes her feel bad, of course. ]

No way, why would that happen..? People shouldn't have to fight each other..!

well, deus, the original god, was dying, and if he died, all of reality would die with him

he wanted to find a successor, so he created the survival game to do it

[ And no, to this day, he still doesn't know why Deus just had to use the Survival Game to do it. Deus's reasoning for it just boiled to "Why not?" ]

That sounds really complicated.. I didn't even know gods could die, but I guess it would be pretty important that there is a god there, at least.. so I think I understand that he really wanted to find someone to take over.

[ Although.. yeah, she doesn't have any idea why like that either. She guesses it's customary in his world, even if it's really cruel. ]

[ Well, Yukiteru was never exactly the religious type, but Deus wasn't the benevolent being most world religions paint him as. He was more of a troll who made the Survival Game pretty much because he can. ]

i didn't know either, and i never really asked why he was dying

[ In hindsight, he probably should have. ]

Maybe they're a lot like people? We die too after all at a certain time.. it's probably just a whole lot longer in those cases.

[ Not that she's really thought much about it before - I mean, who would? - but it sounds reasonable enough. Taking the existence of different kinds of gods into account, that is. ]

It's okay. It maybe sounds a little sad, but by now it doesn't really matter anymore..

[ Sure, it's really sad that they don't get to see their worlds and all the people in it anymore, but on the other hand, it also means they can maybe (very, very slowly) put the problems of said worlds behind them as well. ]

We're all here now, after all.

Me neither, if I'm honest.. I mean, heaven's supposed to be filled with angels and all that, right? This is just an almost normal school..

i doubt anyone who actually went to heaven would come back to tell us what it's like

i can't believe i forgot to ask deus what happens when you die, that should have been one of the first things i asked

[ Murumuru probably would have just said something like 'You get buried in the ground,' he can almost never get a straight answer out of her. Deus could be called many things, but 'a liar' isn't one of them. ]
