[ When the feed turns on, there is one Suzumiya Haruhi, wearing her usual SSS uniform with a bright smile on her lips before she winks at the camera, a victory sign on her fingers. ]

Hello, everybody in the afterlife! This is Suzumiya Haruhi, coming right at you from the comforts of her room to make an announcement: the school festival is coming to you live soon, and we just have to get ready! And how are we going to do that?

First of all, I plan on making a movie. And everyone who sees this message: and that means you is welcome to come audition for a part. All you have to do is come right after classes on Tuesday and give it your all! I'll be accepting only the best of the best, so you better be ready! And if your name is Kyon, you have to come, no exceptions.

Second of all, I'll be performing for the school festival with my totally awesome band, so you guys better not miss it! My awesome voice and singing will be heard for everyone to hear! If you want a sneak peek, though, feel free to stop by the music classrooms.

OPTION B: ACTION ( an empty music classroom )

[ Haruhi is definitely readying herself for the school festival; in fact, the armband that she usually wears now reads "Super Vocalist" while she's in the classroom. Slinging an electric guitar over her shoulder, she decides to practice several songs. Depending on when people come in, you might hear the following: Sono Hi Sora wa Kitto Aoi, Star Way to Heaven, Bouken Desho Desho (and yes, she's dancing too), or Punkish Regular.

Even though she's singing fine, there's something about her that seems a little... off. Perhaps even a little melancholy, too. ]

[ Music probably attracts this guy like nothing else - if there's a song being played, count on him to be around. And of course the song - and performance - he walks in on is Bouken Desho Desho.

He's not going to bother commenting on the fact that she still seems not exactly alright, because in the end it's none of his business, right?

Either way the more pressing matter is... what is this even. ]

[ Haruhi's in the middle of singing the first song before she stops midway, causing a weird sound to come from her guitar, her smile widening. ]

Did you hear that, Kyon?

[ As in, the song. Not the horrible sound from her guitar in the end. ]

Just come as you are and I'll give you a role if I think you're worthy.

Uh, yeah. What about it?

[extraordinarily]

Well, yeah! I was thinking of doing the Hare Hare Yukai, but it would probably take too long for you guys to learn the whole song and dance. Plus, we don't have enough people.

I was wondering if you liked it.

[ ... or not. Or got the hint, even. Either way works. ]

I guess...? You're quite talented.

Obviously! Especially since I wrote and sung that song all by myself.

You're not being sarcastic, are you?

[ Anyway, she'll put the guitar down as she takes a hop and a skip towards the nearest table, picking up a pretty decent video camera. ]

... And what am I doing with this right now?

You're going to record me singing. Oh, and you're keeping that for the next week or so. Because we need it to make the movie.

[slave_of_suzumiya]

Okay then...?

[Yare yare...]

[extraordinarily]

Okay! Now get ready because I'm going to wow you.

[slave_of_suzumiya]

Yeah yeah, I got it.

[Setting up the camera.]

[extraordinarily]

[ And then Haruhi will go pick back up her guitar, positioning herself as she gives him a thumbs up. ]

Call it in three, Kyon! And don't mess up.

[slave_of_suzumiya]

Three, two, one... Action?

Haha, well I can't say no to that, can I?

[ She sounds like a girl version of Jean, how totally amusing. ]

[extraordinarily]

Of course! It would be wrong to, after all.

[extraordinarily]

[ When Kyon calls action, she'll start playing the song, looking pretty proud of herself as the words come easily from her lips. It's a pretty catchy song, but if Kyon pays close attention, there's something behind the song that's more... meaningful. ]

Do we know what the movie's going to be about?

[slave_of_suzumiya]

[You really think Kyon is going to pick up on anything meaningful from Haruhi?]

[extraordinarily]

[ Probably not, but she can sure as hell try nonetheless. When the song is over, she'll take a deep breath, giving Kyon the thumbs up as a cue to stop rolling. ]

Okay, we're finished with this part!

[ Wait... there's more?! ]

[extraordinarily]

It's going to be an action love-comedy movie. With some hints of other genres here and there.
