A. VIDEO (Online)- Responses may come from Yuri, Naoi, or both
[ Just popping up on your friendly neighborhood computer as its own damn post, there's a rather conspicuous video. It looks like it was uploaded by Yuri though.. of course, she has no idea about it. Either way, dare you press play? Yuri will, of course, notice that she seems to have made a post she can't access the contents of, but can reply to. Same for Naoi. ]

B. ACTION; Class Time.
[ If you actually decided to attend class today, the teacher has a very special treat! They're going to show off a video about the biology of amphibians or possibly something about history...? Well, maybe it wasn't really important. Either way, there's one of those rickety, old-looking box TVs with a VHS player on a cart at the front of the classroom. The TV flickers on and the sound starts. There's some logo for an educational company that pops up, then a really corny theme song.. A guy starts talking about the cellular structure of..

Of..

That's not what the video's supposed to be. It looks like it's switched to a video of a classroom, but all the students are standing outside of it. It sounds like there's a scuffle going on, then when the camera pans into the classroom, Yuri's straddling some poor girl, her hands around the girl's throat. She doesn't look.. entirely sane. Like she's completely snapped. ]

How about I give you a taste of the pain of death?

[ A boy with blue hair comes in, pushing his way through the students, starting to tell her to stop, but a teacher barges in and interrupts. ]

Hey, what are you doing?! [ He grabs Yuri's wrist and arm, pulling her off of the silver-haired girl and Yuri starts struggling and yelling immediately. ]

Don't interrupt! I have a few things I need to talk about with the student council president!

"All I see you doing is bullying a fellow student."

She's not human! She's an angel with special powers! If I don't do this, I can't talk to her on even ground!

"What you're saying makes no sense. Come to the guidance office and give me an explanation."

What!? Let go!

[ But the teacher backhands her across the cheek as she tries to struggle more, telling her to behave herself. Yuri looks pissed at him and starts screaming, tears forming in her eyes as she struggles to get free, giving no heed to the full class of NPCs watching at the doorway. It doesn't even seem like she's seeing anything other than this fight. ]

Why the hell should I behave?! You morons! What right do you have to offer guidance to humans?! Can you inhuman bastards even understand human emotions!? You morons-- [ A sharp inhale as tears fall down her face. ] You morons are the ones behaving unreasonably! Let me go! Let me go! Disappear, beat it, get out of my face, everyone get away from me! [ She's flailing and eventually the man just grabs her hair and pulls to try to get her to stop. ]

"You brat, respect your elders!"

[ EXCEPT THEN HE GETS PUNCHED IN THE FACE! But not by Yuri! By the blue haired boy, Hinata, who's now pulling Yuri away from the teacher and holding her. Yuri looks at him, then tries to pull away but he doesn't let go. ] Let me go, you stalker!

I won't.

Why not!?

[ He holds her by the shoulders and looks into her eyes. ]

I understand what you're trying to say. I understand your feelings.

[ Yurippe gives him a desperate, incredulous look. She's sick of people trying to tell her they understand; they don't. They don't, they don't. She closes her eyes, then headbutts him in the face.]

Don't say that so easily!

[ He keeps reassuring her, telling her that he already decided not to let her be alone and that he was going to be by her side, so she can calm down. She hits him, then he pulls her into an embrace. ]

You don't have to worry anymore. Relax, Yurippe.

[ Yurippe looks like she can't take this anymore and starts screaming and calling him a bastard, punching him in the face. Again, and again, and again, and she doesn't stop even when she can't see him because she's crying so hard. After a while he just smiles at her and wraps his arms around her back. She's still crying and she starts screaming again, though she isn't hitting him anymore. ]

Why are you still smiling..? Do you think you're cool or something? You suck, you suck! There's no one in this world that sucks more than you!

It's okay, right Yurippe? It's okay. [ Says the guy whose face is so battered in he can't open his right eye. He reaches up to wipe some tears off her face. ] I'm sorry for letting you be alone. Next time don't go off to fight by yourself. [ She reaches up and wipes her own tears off, then raises her hand to hit him again, but the girl with white hair she'd been choking earlier grabs her wrist and stops her. ]

I think it's about time you forgave him. [ Yuri looks back at her, then the video cuts out and returns to the guy talking about sciencey things. ]

[ Nearly as soon as the video returns to normal, one might see Yuri walking in the hall outside of the classroom. Of course, not attending to be certain, but she looks like she's busy doing something. She's seen a few memories of her own after all, she wants to figure out what's going on. ]

I think if we figure out what that first reason was, we'll get the second reason.

[ Yuri glances at Haruhi for the final boss comment though, looking pretty amused. ]

You know, the first time I went down into Guild before it was actually Guild, I thought we were going to find the final boss. A dragon or something, but we found Shiina instead. Though she wasn't called that then.

[ There's a lot of very subtle things that are going on as Yuri speaks, moreso toward the end of her words. Her grip tightens slightly on the weaponry in her hands. Her gaze moves down. The closer she gets, the more it seems like she's starting to try to shut herself down but keep a sing-song tone while she does it. ]

Let's hurry.

[ Before Yuri ends up hurting because everyone she loved from the old SSS is gone already except for the two people leading the charge to make them disappear. ]

Is she another person from the SSS before everything... changed? Never mind, you can tell me all about it later.

[ Her voice is a little wary, because she knows that people were talking about how the afterlife was different now than it was before. Like the fact that there are less people. Haruhi knew people disappeared every now and again, sometimes without no warning.

But when Yuri tells her to hurry, Haruhi's definitely not going to slow down. She nods in reply, not saying another word. She knows that the other girl doesn't have to tell her everything, at least not right now. Especially since they might be in a tough situation. Haruhi knows it all too well.

She's never said anything... at least, not about her life, anyway, to anyone. Mostly because nobody's ever really asked. Sure, she's okay with people knowing about her background as an SOS Brigade leader and that Kyon's from her world, but that's just basic stuff. Basics.

The brunette then closes her hands into tight fists as she bites on her lower lip, readying herself for anything that may or may not happen. Expect the unexpected, basically. ]

[ Yuri nods. Normally, Yuri doesn't mind talking about the people she cared about. The more memories she's gotten back though, the more she knows that everyone had to leave because she couldn't protect them. She couldn't keep this place safe and chances are, when she went down here the last time, that she'd failed. Otherwise this place wouldn't be so dangerous lately, would it? Things would be better, safer. The people she was growing to like more and more would be taken from her again if she couldn't do anything.

If she kept losing people like this then what the hell was she doing? Even after death, people were still being taken from her. It never ended and Yuri honestly didn't know what to do. Most of the SSS should have willingly moved on, but even Yuri didn't know for sure. She told them to make their choice, but she left before anyone had. Otonashi hadn't said anything about this to her and she didn't expect Naoi to.

They come to a split in the road and Yuri looks from side to side. There are memories scratching at the surface, not quite coming through, but she's pretty sure she knows the way at least. ]

I think it's this way. Stay close, alright?

[ There's a sound from Yuri's gun as she undoes the safety to make sure she's ready to fire at any second as she hurries forward, keeping close to the wall to make sure that their backs are covered, holding the scope light up on her gun to keep everything visible. There's nothing down here right now, but Yuri can't help but feel like there might be. ]

I'm not sure, but I think we're almost there. I just get that kind of feeling.

Got it.

[ She nods in reply as she quickens her pace. If they're getting closer, then it's possible that something or someone might jump out at them and attack them. Haruhi then tightens her gloves, pulling them up as she clenches them into tight fists.

Nobody's watching her own back, being behind Yuri, but at least she's watching out for anything. Monsters, people, what have you... ]

[ Even if Haruhi's behind Yuri, there's a 100% chance of Yuri paying attention enough to make up for no one watching Haruhi's back in the literal sense. If anything happened, she'd probably pull Haruhi out of the way without a second thought, even if she gets confused about the girl's intentions sometimes.

Fortunately, there's not much going on down here right now. There are signs that once upon a time, there was a gunfight here, especially as Yuri guides the scope light over the walls and there are bullet holes in some of the rocks ]

Looks like someone made down it this far, anyway.

[ Still, she wants to try to keep the mood a little lighter. ]

Did you ever make it down into Guild by the way? I know you were trying a while back. This is part of those tunnels, but I think it's separated from the main part. I mean, through the entrance with the traps.

[ After all, she did take a group down there once through the water way but that circumvented the whole booby trapped area. ]

Now I kind of want to know who it was.

[ Can't say she isn't curious, after all. She likes a good mystery, and well, being the detective that she is... she can't help herself, honestly! And as to making it to Guild through the traps? Well. ]

But I haven't. I'm trying to draw a map of it first and come up with a plan before I rush in again.

Personally I'm hoping it was me.

[ Yuri stares at her for a moment while they're walking, running one hand along the wall to see if it feels familiar or if there's any turns they can't see very well. ]

I won't tell you where everything is then if you want to have fun with that.

It would make sense if it was you, really.

[ And she nods as she follows Yuri deeper in. ]

... And good. I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise, after all!

[ If Haruhi's going in there with the intent to get past the traps, it's fine. It's not like she's trying to lead her through there and trying to protect her-- the girl's challenging that, so it wouldn't be anything Yuri would be responsible for after all. Let her try to get into Guild.

Eventually they start approaching a door. The sign that says "Second Computer Lab" is off its hinges and cracked open. After all, it wasn't as though Yuri exactly treated the place nicely last time she was there. There's no light coming from inside of the room though. ]

That's it.

So, this is the place?

[ A rhetorical question, obviously. She knows that they've reached their destination, though she does find it a little unusual that there's a second computer lab. What's the use for it, anyway? Wasn't the first one enough? ]

[ Yuri moves ahead. She'd rather be the one to open the door in case there's something dangerous in there. She turns her back to the wall outside of the door, gun cocked and ready before she swings around and kicks the door open, swiping the room alongside her gun and looking for any movement, but there isn't any. There's barely any light, either. Just hundreds of broken computers on the ground that Yuri's staring at like there's something right on the tip of her memory trying to break through. ]

Those bullet holes were me. This is as far as I got, then...

[ She trails off, her brow furrowing slightly as she goes in further, lowering her weapon since she knows no one's going to be in there. ]

... You shot completely good computers? Okay, spill it. I want to know why.

[ She wants to know all the details, stat. If only because it might help her figure out more about this place. ]

[ Yuri takes a few more steps in without answering Haruhi's question, moving to sit down on the ledge where she'd started crying. She's not exactly saying anything for a while because these memories are coming back to her. Jumbled, messy, but there. Her siblings-- being absolved, finally being told that she could rest.

Yuri brings her hands up to her face and wipes a few tears off of her face. She's not going to break down. Somehow a part of her had known that this had happened, even if she didn't completely remember it.. It still made her want to cry, to let everything out again, but Haruhi was here. So she just stayed quiet, burying her hands into her face for the moment and shaking a little. ]

[ Haruhi opens her mouth to say something, but soon closes it, knowing that this wasn't the appropriate time to do it. Fine. She'll be nice for once, as she turns around and places her fingers in her ears, her voice with clear annoyance - though, there's something about it that seems more fake than usual. ]

If you want to get something out, just do it. I'll just think about what's going on until you want to answer my question.

[ Yuri takes a deep breath after she hears Haruhi's words. ]

Sorry, I just needed a moment. I got a lot of memories back just now..

The computers were running what you might call a system that acted as this world's will of God. So to speak.

It happens.

[ She's had experience with this, even though it's not firsthand. She'll tap her chin, thinking things over before realization washed over her, immediately remembering something that somebody once said. ]

Is it the same type of system that Otonashi-kun found? You know, the one that gave him a knife hand.

And went missing a bit ago, yeah.

[ Add that onto your realizations, Haruhi.. ]

... It went missing?

Recently, too.

[ Yuri briefly buries her head in her hands for a few seconds, then stands up again, looking around. ]

We're not going to figure anything out here though.

Well, there's nothing left here, it looks like. Except broken computers that will never get fixed.

That's all that was ever in here besides that guy in the first place.

... That guy?

Well, he's just an NPC and he can't act on his own, so he probably doesn't have much to do with anything.

But why would an NPC be here, of all places?

He was kind of like a guy who watches over a light house, except with all of these computers running the program.

[ A pause. ] If he had an actual personality he'd probably be mad that I shot him in the face.
